We are located at the beginning of the village on a quiet and sunny spot. At the front of the hotel you might wish to relax surrounded by a lovely blooming garden with its natural fish pond and a play-ground.
Our Restaurant shall provide you a high standard, gourmet and fine cuisine within elegant atmosphere. An abundand Buffet allows you to enjoy your breakfast at will. Our Chef daily prepares a 4 courses half-board menu (2 starters, on choice, main course and dessert).

Saas-Almagell
The home village of the Olympic champion Pirmin Zurbriggen is the most southerly village in the Saas Valley. It is a friendly, family-oriented village which has retained the character of a typical Valais mountain village to the present day.

Our well located Hotel Kristall-Saphir in the heart of the SAAS holiday region offers direct access to over 160 km of prepared slopesof various degrees of difficulty. Whether beginner or expert, you will find your ski pleasure in a unique, sunny world of mountains.

The ski-bus stop to Saas Fee and Saas Grund is just in front of the our house. We may even offer a free bus service to the slopes of Saas Almagell by our Hotel Taxi.

Travel information

By car
Visitors travelling by car from the north travel via Bern through the Lötschberg tunnel (car-train), from the east via the Furka pass (or car-train) and from the south via the Simplon pass. You reach the Saas Valley from the west of Switzerland via Lausanne and through the Rhone valley high way to Visp.

By train
Visitors travelling by train travel to Brig or Visp and change to the post bus with the direct destination "Saas-Fee". In Saas Grund the bus for Saas Almagell is waiting already. This bus will stop directly in front of the Hotel.
