We were on the top floor -- no wifi at all! No staff of this hotel -- for everything, we had to go to Best Western.
Breakfast was very basic
Location size and breakfast
Very noisy throughout the night from people in the square below
to much noise from outside
The room was awesome. We had a private jacuzzi next to our bed and a bathtub in the bathroom. The bed was comfy. From the balcony we had a view onto the town hall and the lake. The room and the bathroom were very clean. The staff were very kind, we could leave our bags in the hotel's private room on the last day after checking out. The breakfast was until 10:30, so we did not have to get up too early.
The sound isolation was terrible. Even at 1am we could hardly go to sleep because of continuous noise from the neighbouring bar (they were organising the chairs or what?). Even with closed windows we could hear passers-by, at around 3 am some drunk guys completely woke us up by shouting so we could not get enough rest. The Wi-Fi was ok but below average speed (youtube HD stream was lagging).
Noisy because restaurant and terrace downstairs
Decor was terrible, lots of cheap stuffs were put in the room in strange style Wifi was nearly not working Too weak
Given that I was hauling a large case, the location of the check-in Hotel in relation to the actual accommodation was so inconvenient and difficult to find.
Great Staff. Great hotel. Really friendly service. They offer valet parking which was very useful. FANTASTIC LOCATION!
Its not a big deal, but would probably be more conveinent for people if the booking confirmation receipt told guests that the check in was at the Best Western hotel across the square. It would just make checking in a wee bit easier.
1. The location is not good as think. 2. wifi is horrrible, have to lean to the door and get just a bit wifi signal. 3. The facilities are so simple. And only a bed. 4. Breakfast is simple 5. The boss I guess is not friendly at all!but one young staff is quite good!
Quirkiness of the room.
Perpetual noise from the square which we overlooked.
my room overlooked the alley at the back, so with the window open there were sometimes cooking smells from the restaurants below, I think the rooms on the side and front would have been ok and would have had good views.
The room had character. There was a Nespresso style coffee maker in the room. The room had a large comfortable singular bed meaning that they didn't just stick two smaller beds together. The bathroom was nice and included a decent sized shelf above the sink to put your toiletries, which is very uncommon in Europe. The staff at the hotel where we checked in was very helpful and pleasant.
There was a "mystery" laundry bag sitting in the hallway outside the staff room the whole time we were there. The elevator was small. There was no air conditioning so the windows had to be open overnight allowing the noise from the pedestrian zone to occasionally wake you up. There were a couple cockroaches in the hallway (only one living one), but this wasn't a huge issue and expected given the location right next to the water. No view of the mountains or the water.
Great location Great room Helpful staff Yummy breakfast
No wifi reached the room at Hotel Magic but had it when at breakfast at Hotel Krone, the sister hotel.
1. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a King Suite that featured a jacuzzi and a stunning view of the clocktower...unforgettable 2. Excellent location, very central
1. Wifi non-existent in our room, weak signal elsewhere. That's the only issue - everything else was perfect
Location is a big plus ... close to everything you need to see in Lucerne. Made it easy with our 1 year old to make short pit stops.
When its a bit warm you need better ventilation or be prepared for the passersby voices piercing through your window.
Great Location for tourists. Near the main train station, and right by the Chapel Bridge (a main tourist attraction). You must check in at the Best Western, which is a block away, but this is not inconvenient at all. The Best Western is easy to find, and the staff were friendly. The hotel has a lift. The theme rooms are a little cheesy, but whatever. The rooms were clean. The breakfast buffet is served at the best western, and it was very good. Beds are comfortable.
The rooms were a bit hot when we got in them. We were on the top floor, so this is probably why. Thankfully the windows all open, so we were able to cool it down nicely. Just outside the window is a popular square with cobblestone streets. In the morning, people push carts up the street, which makes a lot of noise. There is a clock tower just outside the window, which gongs every 15 minutes. It doesn't last long, but if you are a light sleeper, it could wake you up. I tried for about 3 minutes to make the wifi connect. I couldn't get it to work, but I also didn't play with it too long.
Decoration in the room are beautiful and the sculpture is a bit scary ! Lol
Need to go to anther place to check in, and there is no wifi !!!! Reception said wifi doesn't work
Location was excellent. Mediocre breakfast
Very noisy at night, but knowing that ahead of time it was no problem sleeping with earplugs. Wi-Fi was good when it worked, but was intermittent.
Good location, cosy and clean room.
Wi-fi was not stable, but was not a problem to get the connection back
The hotel features its theme rooms. I stayed in a Pirate room and the room even has a wooden boat as a bed! The location is superb, 1 min's walk to Kapellbrücke. Breakfast is served at Best Western Krone and it was good too. 這旅館是主題旅館，每間房間都有自己的裝潢主題。我住在海盜房，床竟然是一艘船。地點很好，離Kapellbrücke只要一分鐘步行。早餐也很不錯。
There's no lift, so be careful when carrying big luggage. 沒有電梯，帶大行李的話會比較辛苦。
Everything location staff breakfast
We were upgraded to a better room for the same price as the one we'd reserved (not too busy, we guess). Really nice gesture.
very good location. large room, but not functional,
we stayed at the aegyptian room and the roof was low at the edges, the bell tower rings all the time, we didn´t have heat and when we asked for it at the reception, they sayed that would turn it on, but they didin´t and you can´t control from the room. terrible to go to the other hotel to have breakfast, mostly when its raining and cold. they didin´t refil the coffee from the coffe machine.
So different to have your room with a name and not a number. The set up of the annex style; unique decor and proximity to the lake was magic! Our room was called Angel!
