L'hotel Best Western Marian am Rhein està situat al riu Rin, al cor de Basilea, i ofereix unes habitacions encantadores equipades amb cafeteres Nespresso. Algunes habitacions tenen una vista meravellosa sobre el Rin, un dels rius més grans i importants d'Europa. En creuar el pont proper arribareu al centre de la ciutat, on hi ha diversos museus i llocs d'interès a poca distància a peu de l'hotel Merian am Rhein. Després d'un dia a la ciutat podreu gaudir d'un bon àpat al restaurant de l'hotel, que és considerat un dels millors restaurants de peix a la ciutat. Ofereix una terrassa amb una vista magnífica sobre la catedral. Habitacions de l'hotel: 63, Cadena hotelera: Best Western.

Really nice hotel. Front desk staff were excellent in all ways! Rooms nice and big and if you get a riverview room the view really is beautiful! Even though some furniture looked old it was well renovated and everything worked. There is a Nespresso machine in every room - very nice touch The alcohol free mini bar is also free of charge. Breakfast was also good with good choice however see below for a little minus: Breakfast at weekends! Too little staff and too slow refilling. Both days we had to find our own cutlery etc. and didn't get offered any coffee etc. The staff looked really steressed out and as a result of this the breakfast wasn't a pleasant experience at all.

Just want to say if we come back to Basel we will check in at Your hotel as we really enjoyed our stay.The location is ideal and the room with the lovely view over the Rhine made our day We where also surprised how little traffic comes over the bridge and the tram cars are running nearly silently. This is not a real complaint but a liitle remark You could take note of the following : We were aware that there is no airconditionnig in the unit we where staying but the ventilation mainly in the bathroom and the bedroom where not working.

A first class hotel, ideally situated for the city. Staff were very helpful. The room was large and very comfortable. I would definetly go back.

We booked the hotel due to a christmas party of our company. To start with the party: Catering was a desaster - poor quality of food and poor service. The hotel itself: Nice view to the Rhine, small but clean rooms. Breakfast was also disappointing (bread of yesterday etc.), plates and couverts missing. Staff was first of all interested in getting the room number... . The positive side: Very friendly and helpful reception!

Location. Restaurant. I dont know why they call it a 4 star property. Its about time restaurants and hotels are given different star ratings. Because they have a nice restaurant, doesn't mean the hotel is good too. I would give the hotel 2 stars. They have no aircon. Al they provide is a oscillating fan in the month of August, which was obviously not enough, even though I am from North India. No wifi in room, all you have is a cord provided for internet. So, all you people using netbooks, ipads etc, go to the lobby to access the net. Not at all satisfied.

Great location and the local public transport pass for the duration of my stay was a delightful surprise. Very nice room for a single person and very good breakfast service. I had a lot of luggage, some quite heavy. Carrying them up and down the front stairs was quite difficult. It would have been good if the lifts could access the street level for easier moving of luggage to / from taxi.

The hotel gave us free tickets for the Basel's transport system. Minibar drinks were free. Location is spot on! No free wifi internet on the rooms (although a wired connection was available) which was a problem if you travel only with a tablet or smart phone. Room was too small for two people and the rooms facing the main street (and not the river) are a bit noise.

It was good window view for the city. It is also American hotel and it is sophisticated for people's need. Nice location. The room was little bit small, but I guess that it is O.K. for business trip.

For the price (of 140chf), and I guess it depends if you get a special or not, this place may be considered okay by Swiss prices. The location's really good and they did give me a room with a river view in it, which was kind of them.

The location was very good - and the mobility tickets an excellent way of getting around Basel Noise. On Friday & Saturday nights there is a club that clearly closes late ( we were woken servreal times, the latest being at 4.00am on the Saturday morning !) and the patrons of that establishment are not quiet. Perhaps triple glazing is required ??

The room was small, but quite comfortable, and very clean and tidy. Moreover the view was superb. The parking service was efficient. The kindness of the staff was appreciated and so was the presence of a restaurant belonging to the Goldener Fisch Association. However, the prices of the restaurant were too high, if compared to the quality of food and service.

Excellent location for old town and shopping - walking distance to old town. Trams run right past the hotel if feeling lazy. We had a room view over Rheinn facing old town as requested. Breakfast was of a reasonable/good standard for price. No complaints but didn't use the restaurant in the evenings as priced too high.
