Hotel Restaurant Panorama  

The hotel is in a lovely location overlooking Lake Thun. The resturant was first class and was full, its reputation was obviously well known in the area. Our room was spotlessly clean although it did lack a hairdryer and tea making facilities, We would definately return when visiting the area again.

The room was nice with a very big terrace (about 15 sqm) with table, chairs and sunbeds, whith an astonishing view upon the lake and the mountains. In spite of the fact that the hotel can be reached only by car (20 km from Interlaken and 3 km up a hill) the location is excellent. It was great.

The breakfast is not rich as it is said on other comments, and you must always wait for min. 5 min. for the personal to bring new food as they bring food for 2-3 persons, even when the room is almost full. The hotel is run by a chinese family and I think the chinese personal is not very familiar with european breakfast, they are very hesitant and bring little food, even when more is needed. The restaurant in the hotel is also chinese (they also have some local dishes), and they always had very many clients, but the excellent food and very good prices which appear in other comments are probably for suisse standards, to us, who have travelled quite a lot in Europe and have often eaten chinese, the food seemed medium and the prices almost as big as in other suisse restaurants (no maincourse under 30 euro - a meal for 2 persons with no antree and no desert about 100 euros).

Besitzerfamilie gibt sich sehr grosse Mühe um auch den 3Sterne-Standard noch zu verbessern. Sehr nettes Personal.
