Rex Swiss Quality Hotel  

We stayed for 4 nights and the room 501 was really good. On the highest floor with 2 balcony it gave a great view in the morning. Breakfast was on time and good. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Staff very efficient and answering all our needs as guests. Rooms are large, nice and clean. The hotel provides free parking facility in a central location, which is extremely convenient.

Need to go out for dinner (no alternative inside the hotel). However, the hotel provides great restaurant addresses nearby.

Convenience to the city yet still quiet / far enough up the hill and out of the way, also convenient to a couple of restaurants, pizzeria and small shop / market.

Reception closes at 11 which means your key must work. A bit unsettling when you are an out of town guest wanting to stay out late.

Clean rooms

Internet service did not work, the front desk closes at 10:30, so no one can help you. It said...... it was a 10 minute walk from the main train station, it was a 30 minute walk straight uphill. You need to take the #15 or #7 tram up the hill. It is a 5 minute walk to the tram station, go out of the main train station door and turn left, crossing the river. You can catch the tram there.

Clenliness, size of the room,location and relative price. The hotel is at a safe distance from the hussle bussle of the city yet tram station is a very short distance away from the hotel from where two tram routs are available which go to the main attractions in the city. It is recommended that tourists should get hold of tram day pass as soon as they arrive in Zurich.

No air condition very very hot in the room

I was particularly surprised about the excellent service. The staff at the reception was very professional and efficient, regarding all kinds of issues/requests I had. Congratulations!

Just to add a detail I have missed, you could have a quick meal service during the day, particularly regarding snacks and dinner. As a business traveller, because I actually had no time to search for a restaurant, it would have been very practical to be able to eat a soup or something equivalent, when I just arrived at the hotel at 7-8pm.

The room is nice and relatively recent renovated. They provide free internet access.

The hotel is very convenient. Walk out of the train station and hop on No.7 tram for 4 stops. We needed a quiet room after a very long plane trip from Australia - they gave us No.210 and it was excellent. We went back on our return trip. The breakfast was great including the coffee. It is an easy walk to the city without cases. 10 mins. There are no nearby eateries but opposite there is a wonderful bakery open normal shop hours. The only critisism we have is that the rooms were too warm. and we couldn't sleep with the windows open because of traffic noise. Other than that it was perfect. We stayed for 4 nights..

i was highly disappointed, as my room was tiny, on 1st floor overlooking parking and the house en face. i paid a lot of money for one person in so called "double room". also the room was not cleaned at 17.00 hour and i had to plead the girl to fix it which she did very fast and unwilling.

A good location beside the tram and walkind distance of the train station. Good all round.
