Popular with the people of Bern since the early 18th century as a destination for excursions, the Innere Enge hotel is set in its own park and is only half a mile from the Bern train station. The 14 spacious rooms are dedicated to famous musicians and are decorated with some of their subjects' personal objects. From the park guests can enjoy views of the Old Town and the Alps. The historic park pavilion is the perfect setting for a delicious buffet breakfast. The Innere Enge restaurant has 13 points in the Gault Millau Guide (reservation recommended) The bus stop Innere Enge is right in front of the hotel. Marian’s Jazz Room is the heart of the hotel and is known as one of the best jazz clubs in the world. 2 concerts are given daily, Tuesdays to Saturdays from September to May. Great coffee machine in room. Big bathroom. Free mineral water provided in room upon arrival. This hotel has so much charm and potential. However it really needs to be renovated. I expected much more at that price. Old dirty carpet (wondering if there wouldn't be some nice hardwood floors underneath), terrible, unsupportive pillows that have lost their fluff, small love-seat sofa that has lost its spring, and a tiny TV hidden in a cabinet. The room still smelled of smoke from years ago.

Das Ambiente, die Stimmung von Jazz, offen mit Gästen, gemütliches wohlfühl Zimmer, am Morgen das erste Café im Zimmer zu nehmen, Erinnerungen an die Innere Enge vor 30 Jahren als Kind an Kinderfesten der Zunft zu Schmieden Parkplatzmangel am Abend bei Jazz Konzerten, aber kein Problem

Ambiente, servizio Bagno manca tappetino per fare la doccia, vasca troppo pericoloso, si può facilmente scivolare. Buffet colazione chf 25, ok, però il succo d'arancia deve essere fresco e non dalla bottiglia come in qualsiasi Garni.

Ottima posizion appena fuori dalla citta' con una bella vista su di essa. Potrebbe esse un ottimo hotel per famiglie se il prezzo non fosse eccessivo. E' "saltata la luce" durante la notte. Non mi era mai capitato in un hotel.

This is a bit of jazz history ... like living in a museum for a few days. The restaurant is worth a visit ... great view and nice ambiance. The front desk staff is most helpful.

Ein sehr schönes Zimmer, ruhig, gross und sauber. Es gibt keine Zimmer ohne Teppichböden.Sehr netter Empfang in der Rezeption und freundliche Bedienung im Frühstücksraum/ in der Bar.Empfangsdrink nach beliebem. Jazzclub im Keller und es gab gerade Jazzfestival im Gartenzelt, mit guter Musik und toller Stimmung. Man kann das Hotel gut ohne Auto erreichen, der Bus , der vom Bahnhof fàhrt. Hält direkt vor der Tür. Zimmerpreise recht hoch, Frühstück nicht mit einbegriffen. Der Frühstück( 25 sfr) ist gut. Man muss aber Eier extra bestellen und zahlen.

Le charme et l'histoire que recèle cet hôtel.L'accueil agréable du personnel.Une chambre spacieuse, de bons matelas, une literie propre, une belle salle de bains. Il faut choisir entre le bruit de la route et la vue sur les bouches d'aération de la cuisine. Cet inconvénient pourrait être amélioré sans de trop gros frais nous semble t il.

Hôtel à recommander pour son confort, sa tranquillité et la commodité d'y trouver une cave à jazz et un restaurant. La cuisson de la viande n'était pas tout à fait à la hauteur, mais l'ambiance sympathique. Très vite au centre ville à pied ou en bus. Place de parking gratuite, ce qui est exceptionnel à Berne.

Das Zimmer entsprach nicht genau dem gebuchten (zwei Betten statt Grandlit) und wir wurden sofort in ein anderes umgebucht. Lage, Garten, Service sind hervorragend.

die recht zentrale Lage und der helle Frühstückraum Eher älteres Hotel, Einrichtung dementsprechend. Beim Frühstücksbuffet mussten Eier separat bezahlt werden, haben wir selten erlebt :-)

I have asked the reception to change my room as there was NO airconditioning in the one I stayed:for two days there was NO follow up to my request. The room charge was expensive and I believe this hotel is not worth the money.

Das Zimmer war Eddie Condon gewidmet und sorgfältig gestaltet, die Einrichtung stilvoll aber trotzdem zweckmässig. Aussicht grossartig. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Eines der wenigen Hotels im Umkreis des Inselspitals Beim Einlösen des Apero-Gutscheines war Hotelinhaber sichtlich enttäuscht, dass wir nicht zu Abend gegessen haben. Foyer war wegen Kaminfeuers statt gemütlich zu rauchgeschwängert. Beim Frühstück wurde trotz lobender Worte über gutes Birchermüesli nicht mehr nachgefüllt, schade!
