Run by the same family for over 100 years, Jungfrau Lodge, Annex Crystal is located in the Grindelwald Ski Area and offers free WiFi, free parking and panoramic views of the Eiger Mountain.
Score from 203 reviews Very good
This small chalet hotel is located in the center of Grindelwald, 380 yards from the train station and the First cable car. Wi-Fi and parking are available free of charge.
Score from 388 reviews Very good
Nestled between the magnificent mountains of Grindelwald, Hotel Restaurant Alpina is situated above the village with views of the Eiger Mountain, being very close to the train station.
Score from 234 reviews Very good
The cozy Hotel Central Wolter is conveniently located in Grindelwald, just one minute's walk from the train station and from all bus services to the Jungfrau, Männlichen and First region.
Score from 430 reviews Very good
All aspects a good hotel should have.
No elevetor.A big problem with luggage.
Good location. Near the train station. Quite clean. Good breakfast.
The soundproof is not very good.
The view of the Eiger The receptionist was welcoming. Parking close by.
Noise from the road, people talking outside and noise from the upstairs room, the floor boards creak. We hoped to get a drink when we came back from eating out, around 21.45, were told the waitress would come but she never did. The breakfast was adequate but fresh fruit salade would be nicer than tinned fruit salad. Very limited choice of bread. No butter, only margarine.
Great location, great breakfast, quiet & clean
After our previous visit 45 years ago we are still very much impressed with Grindelwald and its surroundings. Jungfrau Lodge and its staff added making our stay of two days a very memorable experience.
Absolutely nothing. Even the weather treated us well!
Beautiful views over mountains from dinning room, friendly staff who spoke good English. Nice clean building.
Lots of stairs to climb to the rooms up the the top. Hard to find showers.
Very warm welcome after a difficult journey. Room was delightful with double aspect windows and lovely balcony with stunning views spoiled only by the weather.
arrived too late to be able to choose to eat in the restuarant, but found very good restuarant in town
location of hotel and breakfast were good
room is too small and no view shared shower room is also too small so you can't move
This hotel had everything I needed. Staffs were very friendly, breakfast was delicious and the room was very clean. The location was within waking distance from Grindelwald station and Grund. The hotel even gives you ticket for free local transportation.
Super helpfull and knoledgable staff. Very clean and comfortable Perfect Location and my room had the most fantastic view.
My friends rooms looked out the back of the hotel, an only had the rail line to look at.
Grindelwald is wonderful Staff was friendly
Hotel facilities were just alright. We had a room that just faced another wall, so we didn't have a view. The floor in our bathroom was also giving out and it felt like we could fall through the floor near the toilet.
Several car parking spaces (not so spacious). The train station and the town centre is close but need some uphill walk. The staff was helpful in giving advices for our hiking tour.
The breakfast served was a bit dissapointing, especially breads. A bit costly but it may be so for all hotels in Grindelwald. We did not have a view of Eiger but had rooms in the wrong side; bad scenary.
Friendly staff, good location, views of the Eiger if you have a south facing room
Shared bathroom. But the rooms had a sink and towels and a bath robe was provided
Small friendly hotel. Staff service was excellent. Half board option very good value. Room large and comfortable with great views of the Eiger. Short walk from bars restaurants etc.
On main road so a little traffic noise if you have room with a mountain view.
The location is quite near the train stationa and the city center which is just walking diatance. Very cozy room excpet the view was a parking lot, but didnt mind because i like the bed.
The view was a r
We can see the Eiger from the room!
The hotel is a little far from the station and the shops.
All the employee here are so nice and friendly. And I really love the view from my window. I will visit this hotel again!
I was traveling with my brother. We are very grateful to the hotel for taking the trouble to e-mail us later that we had left in our room a valued guidebook, a GPS device and maps, which they have now mailed to my brother. This was very kind service.
Little bit far from station
The staff were really helpful and friendly. Everything was well prepared for. We booked 2 extra nights which meant we had to change rooms, both were good, the first was in the older lodge which was traditional and cosy with balcony the second was in newer complex with clean, well appointed room with the best view we've ever had - looking straight across at uninterrupted view of the Eiger's North Face.. breathtaking! Would definitely recommend this hotel - price was fair and breakfast good.
Would've liked a kettle in room but staff made hot water available all through the day for all guests
the outlook of the hotel is traditional style. if the weather is good, i can see the mountain from the eating space.
the room a bit small
location, beautiful view to Eiger from the hotel terrace, kind staff, good breakfast, nice flat TV, possibility to make excursions to First, Kleine Scheidegg, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, and the beautiful city Grindelwald
shared bathroom, not direct view to the mountain from our room, small room
Jungfrau lodge has two buildings- the Lodge and the Crystal Annex across the street. We chose the Lodge as it is more traditional and charming. We had a stunning view from our balcony of the Eiger peak and of the beautiful green valley below where cattle graze. We could watch the train wind its way up the mountainside several times a day. Very relaxed and quaint atmosphere.
I booked for price in this hyper inflated location market. You get what you pay for I guess. It was awfull but I assumed it wouldn't be good based on prior reviews. I felt I could deal with anything to see the place a ride the train. Unfortunately the weather was bad so I didn't ride the train. Cest la vie.the front desk was great, helpfull, and funny.
The location is amazing - with the most spectacular view of the Eiger from the terrace. The food was good - very nice and plentiful breakfast, dinner is a genuine good option. The cleanliness (even the shared bathroom facilites!) was excellent and the staff were extremely knowledgable and helpful. Renata, the owner runs a tight ship and is utterly charming. We will certainly return.
