Very reasonable price for Switzerland, nice breakfast, nice staff
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They suggest me some nice hiking routes. The room is comfortable as well. Besides, it offers an abundant breakfast. Strongly recommended to stay here if you are visiting Mürren
They picked n dropped us from the railway station. Good stay.. very convenient to commute
We got a comfortable room with balcony. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean & the view from the room was super nice!! It's quite near to the train station.
Amazing view of mountain~ cozy room, kind staff, delicious breakfast:))
Superb view from room... near to train station.. friendly staff.
I quite liked the view. It was a short walk up to the area where you can find food. Not all the reception girls were welcoming. Food in the hotel is reasonably priced but just edible. The smaller dining room where we had dinner one night was cosy and the staff serving the food were pleasant enough.
I did not like the stairs leading up to our room. Not when I am a senior citizen with luggage. I did not like the pillows - they are kinda deflated.
Good location in walking distance to railway station, friendly staff, good breakfast
Carpet floor in room
Excellent customer service from very helpful staff. Stunning Eiger views from balcony. Good noise insulation from street-side balcony doors.
It's a little pricy for an unpretentious hotel, but that is more a Swiss problem than specific to this hotel. Likewise the skinny, unsupportive pillows.
Fantastic view of eiger up close in mountain view room. 5mins to train station. Can buy jungfraujoch tickets at reception. Well kept rooms.
Limited car parking might be a problem in peak season.
We all know Switzerland is expensive and for an experience such as the Jungfrau rail journey the Jungfrau Lodge seems like a reasonable value place to stay. The staff is friendly enough, rooms are charming and offer good sleep quality. If you can afford it, take a room with facilities. We had room 263 which was situated in a corner of the building and offered superb views.
The breakfast is a little simple with few choices. Omelettes or fried eggs cost heaps extra.
brkfast bread was hard to eat...
The view of the Eiger from the balcony, the staff was very helpful, breakfast was good and the hotel is extremely well located.
The train tracks pass by the hotel and depending on the weather you might need to leave windows open, train will wake you up very early =)
fantastic view of eiger north face with mountain view room. clean and reasonably well maintained. friendly and helpful reception staff. they sell jungfraujoch and other train tickets at reception. 5min walk to train station. umbrella provided in room.
potentially limited carpark spaces during peak season. stair access to main door, potential difficulty for heavy luggage.
Good view from the balcony.
No Wifi signal at some area of the restaurant.
location and stuff are good
sound insulation is not very good
Liked: the location, 5 minute downhill walk from train station; excellent breakfast; rooms made up each day; fab view of Eiger from front-facing balcony; excellent knowledgable help from front desk staff re tours etc.
Didn't like: pillows (very shallow with almost no head support, didn't make for good sleep (although this particular problem seems to be a national one rather than specific to this hotel/lodge); didnt have soya milk despite specific request at booking.
Nice view, nice staff, nice room, nice breakfast!
A bit noisy when people upstairs is walking on the wooden floor, few restaurants in the small town, only one Chinese restaurant but very expensive.
Big room, Good maintenance, Good breakfast and pleasant receptionist
Building and facilities are bit old but kept in good condition
we have paid extra money to upgrade our room type. the single room at the top of the hotelwas terrible. but the upgraded room was excellent. amazing view and very spacious with a small balcony. the breakfast was very good with many choices.
no lift. it is too hard for girls with large luggages to climb up for 2 or even 3 floors.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Shared bathroom clean. Room neat and tidy including a basin.
Room and shared bathroom a little crammed.
All aspects a good hotel should have.
No elevetor.A big problem with luggage.
The flexible rules of having dinner at the hotel: although the hotel does not have a 'à la carte' restaurant (at least not at the time of our stay), we did not have to book 'half pension' for the whole period in advance, but were allowed to decide each and every morning (before noon) whether we wanted to take dinner that evening or not. Despite reading some 'less positive' reports regarding the quality of the food, we took dinner at the hotel during our 5 day stay, and were never disappointed: we were presented a fine variety of courses, presented in a nice way! Definitely good value for the money, even more, when taking into account that the touristical areas in Switzerland are not the cheapest areas to go out for lunch or dinnner.
Good location. Near the train station. Quite clean. Good breakfast.
The soundproof is not very good.
The view of the Eiger The receptionist was welcoming. Parking close by.
Noise from the road, people talking outside and noise from the upstairs room, the floor boards creak. We hoped to get a drink when we came back from eating out, around 21.45, were told the waitress would come but she never did. The breakfast was adequate but fresh fruit salade would be nicer than tinned fruit salad. Very limited choice of bread. No butter, only margarine.
