I liked the hotel style, furniture, lenin, breakfast and staff. Compared to the hotels in this area, kipling is very close to the train station, but located on a side street off the main street. You can walk on the main road and it is literarily few blocks away or you can take the 15 tram and get of the next station and just walk few meters.
The rooms are small, but they are neatly furnished. There is daily room cleaning service. Compared to prices in Geneva, the breakfast 18 francs is extremely suitable and you can have your fill of croissant, cereals, bread, cheese, eggs, saussages, etc. I had a piece of pizza in the train station and ended paying 10 francs.
The staff are very helpful and very eager to provide directions and help you with anything you need.
There is no view, so doesn't matter which room you take. All the rooms have balconies.
Geneva, has an amazing public transport system and it is for free for tourists who get a pass at the hotel and kipling provides you with one.
The only thing, I didn't like is the smoking floors. I am an occasional smoker, but I don't smoke in my room. The smoke really lingers for days after the person leaves and it is evident when u step into the floor ( floor 5). To really preserve its image, Kipling should be a smoke free hotel. There are balconies, and people can step out and have a smoke.
The hotel offered to change my room, but I was leaving the next day!
