Score from 272 reviews Very good
Atmosphere, that the breakfast is included and it is really good. We did not know that they had a very nice restaurant for dinner, we did not booked or anything and they were able to accomodate us. Dinner and wine were very nice.
The wifi was very slow and unstable. The hotel is not cheap, but it has a lot of atmosphere.
The hotel was very charming and the location very peaceful. Enjoyed waking up in a beautiful room to the sound of the river running through the gorge next door. Walking up the valley was also very nice. The morning breakfast was very satisfying and kept us going all day. Particularly enjoyed homemade jams and breads.
The location was further away from the centre of Neuchatel than we wanted to be although it was accessible by car or bus.
Excellent breakfast. The welcome chocolates and handwritten note gave this beautiful hotel a touch of class.
Rushing waterfall from creek quite loud. Perhaps there could be a way to dampen the sound. Restaurant only suitable for a gourmet with a very large purse.
When I checked into hotel it felt like arriving in someones home as not impersonal or clinical like some hotels. Fabulous room with sound of river in background and loved the how each room was different. There was actually a proper hair dryer in the bathroom so a really nice touch....not to be leaving with frizzy hair! Will definitely be back again as just loved the hotel and the staff were so friendly too.
Nothing...everything was just perfect:)
Building with character, spacious room, friendly staff, good restaurant and breakfast
remote location, can be noisy
Everything An oasis on the highway of life.
Reception was brilliant , and very helpful . all staff we encountered were polite and again helpful . Easy to find and short distance from town , Very interesting property .
Nothing much , trains were a bit close , but not that distracting
the ancient watermill was a unique feature.
the description on Booking.com was completely misleading. the location could only be reached by a long [and expensive] taxi ride. there were no restaurants or shops, except the Coop, anywhere near, and the staff informed me that the hotel restaurant only, on Saturday, had a set menu at 150 swiss francs, each. on Sunday, the restaurant is closed, making it impossible to eat anywhere nearby. we ende up picknicking in the room.
Very good atmosphere, nice forniture and every confort
A big far from the town center
Beutiful surroundings in an urban part of the city.
I have one problem with payment, when i was make a reservation the site booking.com take out money crom my credit card or may be freez, so now 2 days as i check out from hotel i was pay for my stay but my freez money since now not anfreez by booking.com site... tell me why???
building, room and grounds were beautiful, good buffet breakfast
Not close enough to town, building work was noisy
The manager was very friendly, telling us of life in Switzerland. The wait & hotel staff were great. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious. A special greeting for our 25th Anniversary & chocolates greeted us upon our arrival.
The food in the restaurant is EXCELLENT! I took the business menu and it's more than value for money!
Wifi connection is BAD! So if you're a business traveller, think twice... Unfortunately no coffee maker in the room. Rest was very okay.
The attention to detail, the fixtures and fittings were superb. The evening gourmet meal was outstanding.
The location of the hotel was a huge let-down - no views and surrounded by industrial factories. It is very very expensive.
Room. The setting beside the river. The staff attitude. Katrina who had a yes attitude. Food.
Access - in a difficult part of the city.
