Hotel La Pergola  

Helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms, fast and free Wi-Fi internet in the room, good breakfast. The hotel is situated at a quiet location close the city center (about 10 minutes walk or two bus stops from the main train station).

There weren't coffee and tea facilities in the room.

Quiet enviroment

Location wasn't too bad. Pretty town. Good TV as it was raining a lot when we were there.

Very overpriced. Bathroom was tiny. Third bed was on wheels and moved during night. Had to pay a deposit to borrow an umbrella

Staff were very friendly. Breakfast selection was good. Tram line was right outside the hotel and it was a quick trip to the city.

Staff were friendly and helpful, even when we asked for unusual things like warming up food in a microwave.

Quiet location with parking available not far from the center.

Expensieve. Bathroom was in the room separated by glass panels - not very comfortable for 4 people. May be rooms for 2 have it better way.

Parking was expensive. Gluten free bread was provided but there was no toaster so it was fairly inedible.

Funky locks on the hotel room doors. You need to use your key to lock yourself in from the inside. When you leave your room and close the door, it does not automatically lock.

Excellent hotel have stayed there 3 times this year will continue to use this hotel whenever we come to Bern, for it's friendly staff, cleanliness, quiet yet central location and reasonable cost.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was pleasant and spacious enough for us. The breakfast was ample and enjoyable - good selection. The location was ideal for us because we wanted to be away from the noise and bustle of the downtown but not so far that we couldn't walk or take a quick tram ride.

Situated at a quiet location in Berne, within easy reach of the main railway station via bus or tram, very good breakfast.

On the down side, the hotel room walls seem to be quite thin as you can hear perfomances of 'nocturnal gymnastics' from the adjacent room (s)

Good quiet location, but only a ten minute stroll from railway station and other transport hubs. The no. 3 tram passes at rea of hotel too. Rooms were modern, comfortable beds, flat screen HD TV with some satellite channels. Modern bathroom with shower and gels/soaps provided. Friendly staff at reception, free safety deposit box provided in reception. Continental breakfast provided free with sufficient choice. We booked one twin and one triple room, the triple being a little packed when everyone there, however, we did not pick the hotel in order to stay in the room. I would have no hesitation staying there again in the future, with family or friends. Some previous reviews raised issues over air con and lumpy pillows. I didn't believe there was a problem.

Perhaps one point would be the absence of dark blinds/curtains which did not help when the sun came up. More of a problem in summer I would have thought.

The room was immaculate. The facilities were impeccable. The breakfast was outstanding and there wasn't a thing I would want to be different. This was the perfect hotel for us in Bern. It was a ten to fifteen minute walk from the train station (Bahnhof) but there is a tram that pretty much takes you directly to the hotel.

Third stay at La Pergola, excellent as always, friendly helpful staff, spotlessly clean, quiet location but within easy walking distance of rail station /shops etc. Will stay again.

Location is good, quiet and not far from railway station. Takes 10 minutes by walk.

Room size is suitable for business single.

Distinctly better than the nearby Astoria. Pleasant staff, good breakfast and a few nice touches to add a bit of character.

Right next door to a Jazz-exercise studio so be prepared for a bit of noise/music during mid-evening (but not a problem if you go out, as doesn't carry on until late at night)

Located near a tram stop and a park/ playground. Walking distance to city centre. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Enjoyed buffet breakfast.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was modern and very clean. The room was small but very clean and bathroom was good. Breakfast was included and ithey had lots of fresh fruit which I loved. It was a short walk to old town. Good value for the money.
