Habkern, Lombachalp, Hochmoorwildnis, away from the beaten path of tourism. Approximately 650 inhabitants live at 1100 meters above sea level in four scattered village-like settlements. Habkern has 51 square km. and is one of the largest municipalities of Switzerland. The little Bernese Oberland village lies hidden away in a wind-protected and fog-free side valley. Travel information
Journey by car
Drive on the A6/A8 in the direction of Interlaken, Thun. Leave the A8 and drive straight on the Därligenstrasse. You now pass the entry into Interlaken. Turn left into the Rugenparkstrasse. Drive to the roundabout at the train station and take the 2nd exit Leave the train station square and turn left into the Bahnhofstrasse. Leave the Bahnhofstrasse and continue straight on the Scheidgasse. Leave the Scheidgasse and keep straight on to the Beatenbergstrasse. Leave the Beatenbergstrasse and keep driving straight on. You now pass the entry to Habkern. Follow the street.
