It was very clean and the staff friendly. The building is very old. And the church next to the hotel with bells ringing the entire night was a nightmare. |

The front desk staff was very friendly. For someone like us who do not have a car, getting a taxi is the only way to get to the aiport. It costs 60 Franz from the hotel to the airport - a 15-minute ride and an expensive one! People who do not have a car should be informed about this additional cost. The other thing we did not like is that the waitress at the hotel restaurant almost kicked us out becuase we did not order the main dishes (we were not hungry and only ordered the drink, soup, and salad) until we told her that we were staying in the hotel! The food was OK and not as good as advertised considering the price we had to pay. |

The helpfulness of the staff Staff were not acquainted with the area (for restaurants, etc.) and the prices at the Sternen Muri restaurant were unbelievably expensive. |

Location: calm and relaxing and, at the same time, in a very confortable situation to reach city-centre. Smiling and helpful reception. In a double room, a second arm-chair and a second luggage rack would have been appreciated. Also, availability of alternative rigid pillows might be a positive option.Breakfast just ok: some more warm choices and more fruit would improve it. |

Very nice design of the hotel interior, room are comfortable and clean, breakfast is excellent. The hotel is about 7 mins. from the old city (by car) in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The hotel consists of two buildings, the wooden old style one that is shown in the pictures on the site and their brochure, and the new building which seems more like the 80' building. I reserved this hotel because the price was good and because we like the old style wooden houses, but got a room in the new part of the hotel which was a bit dissapointing. |

Very clean, modern facilities with short commute to Old Bern. I would recommend this to anyone staying in this area. Although it appeared otherwise, the internet available was very expensive and not easy to access compared to other hotels. A flat, low, per day fee is expected nowadays with the ease of providing internet. |
