Location within relatively easy walking distance of most of interest to us, including shopping & restaurants.
Everything. Had a wonderful few days at the Hotel Languard. The room was large and lovely. Overlooking the lake and mountains. Breakfast was superb. Staff were wonderful.
Nice room, clean, just uncomfortable bed.
Very uncomfortable bed! Felt as though I was back in the service! New beds would be a much needed upgrade!
It is a charming hotel, a little out of the way, but in the high rent district, and consequently fun walking to, passing boutiques and elegant restUrants.
There was no place to sit in a public area and read, no parlor space. We were booked on the Glacier Express at 8am and breakfast started at 7:30 so we skipped breakfast. A cup of coffee would have been nice. They did offer cold cereal.
LOCATION & AMAZING VIEWS. VERY WARM & FRIENDLY STAFF. VERY HELPFUL STAFF & GOES OUT OF WAY TO ENSURE YOUR COMFORT & VERY HELPFUL WITH THE SIGHTSEEING TIPS. OWNER HERSELF IS A CHARMING LADY WITH LOT OF EXPERIENCE IN HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY. MOST AMAZING ASPECT IS THE COZY FEEL ONE GETS IN SUPERBLY DECORATED INTERIORS WITH A LOT OF ANTIQUE OBJECTS. A VERY WARM & DIFFERENT HOMELY FEEL TO THE PLACE UNLIKE THE INDIFFERENT TREATMENT ONE RECEIVES IN CORPORATECHAIN HOTELS.
We shelled out the big bucks and paid for the corner room with balcony and the great view of the lake and mountains that other people have posted pictures of. The view was beautiful and the room was spacious. There's a small COOP grocery store nearby and we could see the larger COOP grocery store from our room, maybe a 15 minute walkaway. We stayed for two nights or more and so qualified for the whatever card that let us ride the local bus for free and go on a number of cable cars. We used this card to go up Piz Nair for free. The starting point for Piz Nair is only a few short minutes walk away from the hotel.
Considering how much we paid for the room we were quite surprised and disappointed to find the room did not have a mini fridge or coffee maker. We consider these to be standard items for a better than average hotel room. We solved this problem by buying an electric kettle called a wasser kocher at the larger COOP for about 20 CHF. The mattresses were the hardest of any we encountered on our trip and were just plain painful to lie on by the end of our stay.
Location and facilities.
We had room 25 which has large windows overlooking the lake and St Mortiz which is stunning . The room was large and well appointed. It had a table and two chairs , a lounge chair and foot rest , a king size bed and a large bathroom. There was a safe, hair dryer , toiletries, and a minibar , Breakfast was lovely with all you could need. We recommend thus hotel to all travellers young or old - yes they have a lift!
Nothing to dislike
Friendly, good breakfast, great views.
Fantastic views with friendly staff
Fantastic views from full double windows of lake , mountains & village. Near centre of town.
No bathroom accessories. No kettle. No cooked breakfast.
Location and great service
Immaculately clean. Friendly staff helped us with bus times and directions to get the most out of our stay. Great breakfast.
Great position - great staff - great bedroom and view - good wifi - breakfast good
Walk up to hotel is a little far for older people ?
Didn't have even hair dryer. TV was from last century, can't see a thing. Towels very tired. Room looks at the back to the other building. Very poor.
Very friendly. Great service. Excellent breakfast
Can't think of anything I didn't like.
Excellent location and friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious, well decorated and our small south facing balcony provided a great place to sit and relax in the sun at the end of energetic day's skiing.
Breakfast buffet, while good, could have had a little more variety.
hotel unfriendly, try to check in 1.00pm not possible because guest still in room and hotel alloy them up to 4pm so room may be ready by 5pm i had to work so i couldn't come i came by 10pm hotel closed and i had to wait outside by -8degres next day they charged another 50fs because of late arrival, then price so high for small hotel i will never come back
very friendly and heplful staff, very good breakfast, comfortable rooms, near train station...
Half-board possibility or restaurant would be a nice addition
Swiss hotels are generally of a much lower standard than other European hotels when compared star to star. I have travelled very extensively and am sure that this hotel represents excellent value for money in Switzerland. Apart from that the hosts are warm and welcoming. The ambience is very friendly and cosy. View from my room and breakfast room really world class. I can 100 per cent recommend.
I travelled with a fancy, spoiled lady from New York; she simply loved it: the cozy, wooden rooms, the family-owned atmosphere and the amazing view to both the lake and the famous Badrutt's Place. The hotel is directly in town and we could walk to the gondola. Amazing. I would return in a second. The breakfast is abundant and the kindness of its staff - especially Sasha's - is remarkable. 5 Stars.
There is nothing, I didn't like.
Location, beds were very comfortable, large room, huge bathroom with a bath, breakfasts, staff, everything was vert good
The mamagement and the staff were extremly friendly, courtious and helpful. Nothing was a problem and they even dug our car out after a massive snowfall. The property was spotlessly clean with very pleasant decor. The breakfast was more then ample.
Amazing View!!! Amazing Location!! Amazing Staff! One of the best experiences I've ever had! Ricco, Sasha and all Staff were always very simpatic and helped us on many suggestions they have done to us! The location is very good, near to everything! I will miss the time I've spent there!
