Hotel Les Arcades  

Great place to stay in Geneva! Very friendly and helpfull staff (the asian girls especially), the Wi-Fi was working allright, the breakfast was nice and kept you alll day, the room was clean and had nice view to the train station. The location was great, the train and buss station just oposite the hotel, the banks and old city is just 10 minutes walk. They told me that they can keep my things after the check out so that i can see more of the beautyfull city of Geneva and i did. Very good value for money overall (this is a cheap hotel in the expensive city of Geneva). I would surelly recomend this hotel.

the power suply in the room was old and couldn't charge my laptop. you could get and addaptor from the reception though giving a small money guaranty.

Room was lovely although I was very gflad we had a room towards the back of the hotel as some are very close to Reception and the Breakfast area and I think this would have been annoying for noise levels. The staff were very helpful and happy to speak English when my GCSE French was exhausted!Location is 100% the best thing about this hotel-it is literally in the middle of everything and only 5 min walk to the Lake.

I did not dislike any part of our stay at this hotel but as stated above I would have been concerned at having a room near the Reception desk due to possible noise disturbance.

The hotel is costly for what you get but Geneva is a very expensive city. The staff were very nice but did not seem to know a lot about the city. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable beds. The decor is old but serviceable.

Breakfast is ok but nothing hot...cheeses, meats, fruit and buns etc.

The 2 reception staff I encountered were not Swiss in appearance and exhibited the most inflexible and inhospitable set of attitudes I have experienced in about 15 hotels this trip. If a hotel is located next to a transport hub as in this case a main train station there needs to be an earlier provision for breakfast since many train services leave around 7am and of course one has paid for breakfast in the room rate.

This was a great find. The location is perfect, close to the main train station. The room was extremely clean and well-designed. There is space in the rooms and nice furniture. The staff are extremely pleasant, friendly, helpful, and multi-lingual. I would definitely return. This is my best experience in Geneva and at a great price. Recommended!

To me, this was clearly one of the cheapest hotels in Geneva available at a good location.

Having stayed at this hotel in the past through a booking.com reservation, and having been aware that the rooms were all laid out on one floor with most around the reception desk and breakfast area, I requested a quiet room away from the breakfast area -- it disappointed me to be given a room only 2 meters away from the reception desk. I could hear speech from guests and staff around the reception desk all night. I woke up several times as a result of the poor soundproofing which disappointed me. Despite the relatively cheap price of this hotel for Geneva, I now have the firm impression that I could not rely on being able to get a good night's sleep -- and certainly any sleep after 7am when breakfast starts is out of the question!! I would not recommend this hotel nor stay there again. Poor.

Large room Friendly staff

Excellent location, in front of the train station and 5 minutes from the friend I came to visit. The area the hotel is situated in has a lot of restaurants and bars and the lake is less than 10 minutes away. The room was very clean. All the staff was nice and polite and it's not a problem if you don't speak French because they all speak good English.

The breakfast buffet was quite small and at night the room was very hot at times.

They offer extremely reasonal price for Geneva accommodation. The room is clean, well organized and pretty comfortable.

It is not a claim, but the wireless Internet is often out of range and doesn't work in the room.

Location and the breakfast presentation was good. Staff was helpful. Bathrooms were clean and functional considering the size of the hotel. If any discomfort, the bed mattress bed was a bit hard on the back, especially for, I guess, people in their 50s. otherwise, the hotel is perfect for short city tour of geneva, and the location is very good.

The location was great also the room's are very clean.

Wireless is very poor, the room's are very noisy because it is right in front of the railway station. Also the room was vey cold while I stayed, there was no heating.

Hotel is excellent for people who just need to spend one night in between travelling. It is conveniently located colse to the train station with easy access to center/airport. Rooms are clean, service is good. In such an expensive city as Geneva, it is best value for money for people who do not have high requirements.

Quality of wifi is very poor. It is hardly possible to browse web or send e-mails, not speaking about having Skype calls.
