Hotel Lido  

Location is very good. Reception is very helpful and friendly.

Restroom has some broken things. Difficult to adjust the shower temperature, very flucuate between too hot and too cold shower.

the room was very clean and spacious. As a budget hotel it is OK, but for my stay there (at a busy time and I booked late) the price was not 'budget'. Staff very welcoming. Great location, a only few minutes walk to the station, lake, shopping, restaurants, etc.

traffic noise may be a problem for some. and the floors and walls seem thin and don't filter neighbours sound well. The lever to lift the sink plug was missing - this should have been reported in basic houskeeping. The bed was very soft. No wifi. The room door lock was loose and difficult to operate. The shower took a long time to heat up, but once hot was fine.

I suppose everything in Geneva is expensive but this seemed very dear for a small room.

We enjoyed the stay in Hotel Lido. It is just beside the main station and very much comfortable. Value for the money.

Very thin walls

The hotel is well situated for the lake, old town and station. Superb Italian restaurant (Alfredo's) next door, we ate there 4 times ! Free voucher for across-town travel very welcome. Note train travel (5min) from airport to city is free !! 50 cf by taxi ! Breakfast was good !

Very basic accommodation ! Very old lift and fire-escape facility not very good...we were on the 5th floor ! We asked for extra pillows...and were told not available as hotel was full !! not what you expect for £150 per night !!

I found the room fine for our purposes as it was just for an overnight stay in Geneva. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were helpful and the breakfast had a nice variety.

Some minor touches could have made a difference like cupboards with missing handles should have the handles replaced and glasses rather than plastic cups in the bathroom. Yoghurt at breakfast would have also been good.

Location in the center just couple of steps from the central railway station (half an hour to the airport). Many bars and restoraunts around.

A little bit noisy. The hotel needs modernation - there were some problems with turning on the light in bathroom, for example.

Located very close to train station and within a walking distance to the centre. Not too expensive. Ok, if you only stay a night or two.

Very simple colourless rooms. The white walls and doors create a feeling like it was a hospital before. now changed into a hotel. Not much choice for breakfast.

Near train station, very convenience. Some distance to old district, but Geneva is not big. Facilities are simple but clean. Nice staff.

Staff: friendly and professional,especially the receptionist who's attending in the afternoon, attentive and helpul. Situation: you are in the center of Geneva. Brilliant.

Rooms furnitures are so old for the payed price :130€/night, without chance to have a single use rate. Baths are small ( around 6-8m2, could be), and you can find a white label basic amenities set, enough if you are travelling for business, but not for pleasure. Breakfast - served on the same place of an old room, it was a new experience for me - could be better, but this is a personal opinion. I could recommend this hotel for economic and business travels...if they descend their price..

Excellent location for seeing Geneva. Relatively good value in a city that tends to be expensive.

Matresses too soft for my liking but may suite some people.

Staff and location for those that want to be near the Geneve (Central Station) are excellent!
