Very friendly and helpful staff, who spoke excellent English. Just across from Zurich central station. Comfortable room.

Very nice hotel taking into consideration it's location - 5 min by foot from Zurich HB central station. We were using it as a base for travelling from Zurich to other cities. And there's a nice bar street nearby and a good supermarket Coop on the brige, opposite the hotel (1 min walk). At the distance of 2 meters from the entrance there is a small cable car (red entrance door) which will deliver you 300 meters (or so) up the hill to Polyterassa - one of the view points for the city to enjoy a sunset.

Excellent location, minutes literally from the main train station, and at the very beginning of the highly recommended Old City self-guided walking tour. The room was clean, though, as described in "Zurich in your pocket" guide to the city, the "rooms are plain and the furniture is a little long in the tooth", and was equipped with the first13" cathode-ray TV I've seen in a hotel in some years! But it worked, and picked up CNN in English. WiFi worked in the lobby and lounge, and often in my room on the third floor. I usually had a two- or three-bar signal out of five in my room, but the speeds were slow, and it sometimes didn't connect to the 'net. Recommended for the budget traveller for location, services and costs, given Switzerland's generally high costs.

Friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is very well situated for Zurich sightseeing and shopping. Very clean rooms, although the decor is a little tired. Excellent value for money in Zurich.

Simple no frills hotel in an excellent central position (4 mins across from station). Helpful staff who all spoke excellent English. Basic but very clean room & shower room turned out to be suprisingly comfortable - had a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed. Thank-you Hotel Limmanthof! Great for us travellers just passing through for the night. We also really enjoyed eating (very nearby) at the Santa Lucia restaurant, well worth a visit, such a beautiful place.

This is definitely a no no for me. I would rather pay slightly more for a better hotel.

Very convencient from Main Station. Reasonable price compared with others in Zurich. Cleanly and cozy room with good river view.

My room suffered badly from street noise over the night and morning. No breakfast included in our room rate. It need to go up-stairs even to reach the reception, as we have heavy suitcases, this wasn't ideal for me.

Location is just perfect, in the middle of the old town and extremely close to all the key sightseeings and the railway station (no need for taxi). Furniture was quite simple and room was small but clean, anyway it is reasonable for their price. A little bit loud if your windows are to the street side. note for the smokers - one of a few hotels in Zurich where smoking is still fortunately allowed in the rooms.

Very central; short walk from station; good view of river and city from room; room clean / comfortable; proper bath, not just shower !

Very minimal breakfast offered, so we didn't buy it.

Great location, only 5 mins walk from Train Station, close to tram station and trolley bus. 10 min stroll to lake, close to old and new town. Clean rooms, slightly dated but perfectly nice and a good size. I would stay here again without a second thought.

There are two restaurants within the hotel one of which is vegetarian. As a vegetarian I was very pleased to discover this but the only problem was they shut at 9 pm which was too early for us. However there are loads of restaurants nearby, we tried a few but for veggies go to Hitl, they do a great buffet.

I cannot reccomed this hotel enough. I have stayed here for about ten years and it has always been good.
