Located in the village of Château d'Oex in the heart of the Swiss pre-Alps, the Bed&Breakfast Lodge Roc et Neige is only 5 minutes' walk from the train station and the centre. Wireless internet access is available in the entire lodge. The rooms offers superb mountain views and you can start every day at the complimentary breakfast buffet. Free parking is available for 12 cars. The garden close to a scenic mountain stream invites you to relax after a grand day out. Run by nice people. Clean and functional, if not exactly luxurious. Could have done with tea/coffee making in the room. Also, only limited facilities for drinks in the evening. One day we could not get anything to drink from the bar/lounge area after about 7.30 pm.

Peace and quiet, fantastic location and superb mountain scenery the only problem we had were the european plug sockets - not the usual kind so we had to hire an adaptor from the hotel. They were three pin and not the usual 2 pin. But overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay again next year.

Only 10 minutes walk from the station and centre of the village, but pleasantly quiet. Friendly reception, helpful staff. Rooms were warm and spacious, with considerable storage space. Good continental breakfasts. The restaurant is closed for evening meals during the winter, which is a pity, due to its fine location and view.

The view of the mountains is magnificent The service needs a lot of improvement. The receptionist (probably the landlady, Martin) was indifferent to our dissatisfaction of being placed not in the main building, but rather in an annex, and we had WiFi problems.

Super clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Easy parking. No restaurant on-site. Bar/lounge was closed during entire stay. No telephone or mini-bar. Room decor was very outdated.

Le petit déjeuner est très bien; un parking gratuit; tout ce qu'il faut dans la chambre. Il ne faut pas chercher l'hôtel avec le gps, on le voit depuis la route principale, alors que le gps vous conduit loin de la vrais adresse. Il n'y a pas de téléphone dans la chambre et la conection wifi n'est pas bonne dans certaines chambres.

Hôtel sobre, propre, situé à quelques centaines seulement du centre du village et du téléphérique qui mène au télésiège pour La Braye. Petit- déjeuner copieux, compris dans le prix de la chambre dans notre cas. Ne dispose pas de restaurant mais ceux du village se trouvent à une dizaine de minutes à pied. Excellent accueil et tres grande disponibilite de la direction : proposition spontanée d'une chambre plus grande, "late checking out" à 16 h sans majoration (dimanche hors vacances scolaires), ce qui nous a permis de nous changer confortablement de retour des pistes avant de repartir.

Le jour de mon départ. . . content de quitter cet hotel sans intéret . . . L a douche ridiculement etroite avec rideau en plastique gras .pas de placards pour ranger ses affaires mais des etageres. Le petit dejeuner sans choix. Un hotel plus pres de 1 étoile selon les normes francaises . un rapport qualité prix honteux.

Wir wurden imHotel freundlich willkommen geheissen und haben besonders das gemütliche Zimmer und das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet sehr genossen. Das Hotel war der ideale Ausgangspunkt für unsere Biketouren.

Beaucoup de problème avec le wi-fi ne marchait que par intermittence et difficile d'obtenir de l'aide. On ne se fait pas bien recevoir lorsqu'on annonce le défaut. Limite si on se sent soi-même fautif.
