The apartment was exactly 'what it said on the tin'
Delay in receiving a response to my email.
No support from the staff/owners of the apartment. when you try to reach them via email they don't respond. No body to clean the room during my stay despite paying for the apartment.
Noise of party leavers after midnight
The location was convenient for us because a family member was at the hospital which was right opposite. The apartment was nice and new.
We had to call three days in a row to ask for someone to come and change the bed sheets and the towels. We booked the apartment for 2 weeks and we were expecting at the end of the first week that this should be done. Also the tv wasn't working and nobody came to check on it.
Nobody sais about price for Cleaning +60
The location was good, lots of nearby shops, privacy was assured, and place was clean.
They cancelled the reservation a couple of hours before our arrival!!!
Nice apartment in a nice building
Not so good value for money especially that there is no breanfast nor free bus tickets like in hotels,
The apartment is a decent size and once you know where it is quite well located. The block has been renovated well and its very modern. It has all you need to be self sufficient but in the end we ate out all of the time. The bed was comfy and overall we had a good stay. I can see why previous reviewers state that some sort of fan should be supplied in the apartment. It was quite stuffy so we had the windows open at night , and i could tell that in the summer it could be a sweat box. Yes you can hear sirens sometimes as the Hospital is very close. But its a city so i expect noise and to be honest it did not make a big impact. Its cheap for what it is in Geneva. Would i stay here again?, probably not!!, as i like having a point of contact like you get in a hotel. This is not a hotel its in a residential block, with only 3 apartments owned by the company. I knew this before i went but be aware. To find this place is easy if you know how!. From Geneva Airport take the number 5 bus and get off at Hopital. Its very close to that stop. If only we knew this it would have been easy. Perhaps if Mr Borek had actually replied to my e mails we could have found it much much quicker.
Like other reviewers i sent two e mails to Mr Borek. One in Jan and one in March and neither was replied to. You wont get free bus passes either like you get at most hotels in the area. We lost the wi-fi connection and tv on the second day. And although we contacted a number for help we were told the whole block was down. This was a fob off story we feel as we could hear tvs in other apartments. We chose this place as we wanted wi-fi etc but were let down as it said subscription cancelled. There is also a musty smell when you first walk in the door. The place is only cleaned for your arrival. I find the cleaning fee you are charged a bit of a con. Its 60 swiss francs but its in small writing on Booking.com. This charge should be included in the room rate as you will be charged for it. Its a shame its a nice place but could be much better. Its let down by the company that run it. They strike me as a company that once they get your money they are not really bothered what happens. We were fortunate that the guy from the tourism office spoke to someone on the phone to say we had arrived. It was only then we were given the code to get in the outer door, and told the key was in box 13. We learnt a lesson on this trip, Book a Hotel next time we travel!!.
No unnecessary check in processes . Room was well designed and clean. Good shower
Excellent value for money (taking into account Geneva prices for hotels). Clean and modern (new)
Not a nice street. Quiet at least.
proximity to the city center.Quite.
shut off of certain utilities like TV without client consultation.
the apartment itself was well appointed and was quiet
No reception, no free transport card despite the fact T.P.G. (the Geneva public transport company said we should have been given this) this was confirmed by the tourist information centre. This cost us 8 swiss francs a day each extra, total cost 56 Swiss francs . No customer support what so ever after registration over the telephone. E mails not replied to, phoning got an answering machine message in German. No left luggage facility after we had vacated our apartment on the last day, so we had to pay for left luggage storage at the railway station. One night the electronic key pad lock failed on the main door to the building, it was by good fortune that someone was in the foyer area so they could let us in. With no back up ie someone to ring we could have been stuck outside, the key to our apartment door will operate the main door, we found this out from the kind person who let us in, there was no information about this from the company. We are in the process of making an official complaint to this relevant Swiss authorities. It is such a shame that this really quite nice apartment is spoilt by lack of customer support. Very mean with toilet paper 1 roll! and the supermarkets near selling toilet paper, the smallest pack 10 was rolls. I would not recommend this place because you are on your own and if anything goes wrong you are stuck, this is a really poor set up, they have a duty of care and don't.If you look at the reviews about this place the most common complaint is lack of support and not replying to E mails.
Near HUG, where I was working. Quiet room, day & night. Excellent, free wifi connection. Responsive staff when called. Nicely equipped mini-kitchen.
Unusual & somewhat awkward check-in process. No air conditioning or even a fan. No rubbish bin in bathroom. No mirror except small one in bathroom; no mirror when drying hair (no plug in bathroom). Should be instructions for how to use TV/cable system.
Location was perfect, you can walk everywhere, if you enjoy a walk. You also have got supermarkets near you. The kitchen is basic style but has everything you may need.
One day before arrival I sent an email to the hotel staff asking about the bus stop and about payment options, and they just didn't reply!! You also don't get to talk to them about what they advise to do or how to get to places, as there is no reception. That was really a bad aspect of the hotel.
my friends stayed at this hotel.
they did not like a location ,the room was very small and neighbours were noisy.
New apartments, clean and nice. Free welcome drink, tea, coffe.
We can not get in, when come, because manager did not contact us before check in. Nobody was there, we staying outside on the street for one hour.
Concept is great
However, the old greesy cooking from other occupants filled the flat! Plus the bedding wasn't changed, you could smell the guys who slept in the bed last. I would help if the windows are opened to allow for fresh air to flow through the flat.
Excellent clean, comfortable appartment, quite area within 15 min walking distance of center, well served by public transport (bus line no. 1, 5 (airport direct), 7, and Tram 12 not far away), local shops & supermarket (Migros, Coop).
Suggest location map suplied with the appartment direction should include an arrowd direction from the Lumbard bus stop. ie: turn right when leaving the bus.
The word luxury should not be added to your caps.no cleaning as mentioned.have to wait for 1hour to check in when i arrived sharply at 1500..but checking out time..i have to leave at 1100 sharp..or the staff will wait for you just at your doorstep! Poor communication with the host. Highly NOT recommended!
Poor location, no staff at all, its a room in residential building. noisy location with many ambulances going to the huge medical center next door, no reason to be here unless you are unlucky
The overall impression of the apartment is ok. (area is ok too) the cleaning staff reacted really fast, friendly and tried to correct management errors asap.
man. summary: !!!not recommended for business travellers at all!!! my room was not ready by 7 pm!!! cleaning staff needed to travel at least 1 hour to get to the Location - so at the end i could enter in a cleaned apartment at 10 pm(an Apartment which i had prepaid for) The Apartment is at a hidden location. There is no reception desk, so in case of having Problems, no on-site Support is available. (just had contact with cleaning staff - Management is not reachable at any time) the Management does not react at all - still waiting for my bill - no one is reacting for weeks, no excuses. so i need to get in touch with booking.com and have additional effort
Perfectly clean and comfortable apartment. Fitted out with Ikea furniture, close to supermarkets with anything you'd need, kitchen was well-equipped, located close to trains and in a safe and cute area.
It was situated in a quiet area and not very far from the main City. The bus stop was close by. Was clean and provided the basic amenities
I didn't like the fact that there was no one to greet us as the person in charge was on holiday. Moreover, the apartment was very small and it was very hot in Geneva at the time we went. Due to the heat it got very stifling in the apartment that we couldn't sleep despite keeping the windows open. Upon asking for a portable fan we were told that they do not have such a facility. They should provide portable fans especially during the summer months to ensure the comfort of the guests.
