Hotel Marta is good value for Zurich which is an extremely expensive location. The hotel is perfectly located for the station and city centre. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has a plain functional minimalist style - extremely clean and well looked after.

A bit of traffic noise but not too bad. Rooms at the back overlooked by general public from a high level pavement.

Staff were friendly. Location was good - 300 meters from Zurich rail station. Good WiFi. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Budget hotel but you get what you pay for.... (Read below)

Very basic hotel - uncomfortable furniture. Poor quality pillows. Very noisy location due to several bars. Do not stay here on Friday or Saturday as the bars have 4 am licences and attract a noisy crowd - do not expect to sleep if you do.

Clean & comfortable but minimalist & sterile decor. Good location but quite noisy because of that. Expensive but probably fair value compared to other hotels in this very expensive city.

Not great value.

The hotel was well located within walking distance to the train station and Old Town. Lots of restaurants and shops. It was clean and updated. We had a standard plus room which was spacious. Breakfast was not extensive but ok to start the day.

Because it is right in town, you need to expect some traffic noise. Hotel supplies and services was minimal but ok for the short stay we had. Price seemed high but probably ok in comparison to others in Zurich.

Convenient to the train station. Inga checked us in and was extremely helpful with our many questions all answered in well spoken English. Great buffet breakfast.

Pretty much everything else. More like a hostel than an hotel. Few staff- clear away your breakfast things yourself Very expensive- stayed in much better hotels in Milan and Sorrento for less money.

Quiet location in the city and not far from the Zurich Hauptbahnhof.

Conveniently situated not far from the station. At first sight the hotel is elegantly decorated with great simplicity.

This is minimalism gone mad. A wooden fitment on the wall provides a seven- inch rail for clothes and three seven-inch shelves, ideal for books or a vase. But where does one put clothes? A single table lamp does its best to lighten the gloom. There are wall lights by the bed--if you can find the switch. No fridge, not even a telephone.

The position of the hotel was perfect. 5 minutes walk from the main train station. In the old city of the town were all the restaurants and bar are. I was there for a business trip. So I didnt spend much time to the room, I was there only to sleep.

There is no wardrobe closet in the rooms. Only some hungers.

Convenient to train station (easy walk), very clean, great location, helpful staff.

Room was at rear of building on busy highway with trolley traffic outside the window - a little noisy.

Excellent location, clean rooms, fast and free WiFi

Staff not very friendly. No hairdryer in the bath, self-service at breakfast (everybody must clear his dishes). No suitable electrical connections, must take an adaptor...unconfortable. Noise from the street.

This is a return stay at Hotel Marta. I usually use this for a short transit stay before heading home, as its proximity to the Zurich main train station is ideal. Although the hotel is basic, it is comfortable and clean.

Certain rooms facing the main road can be noisy during the day, especially during the warmer seasons when the windows have to be kept open.

Great location, great service, nice breakfast included, lovely rooms and very clean and modern décor. Highly recommended, especially rooms on the top level - great outlook over the mountains and city skyline.
