Hotel Matterhorn Focus Superior  

We were greeted with Prosecco on arrival, taken to incredible rooms decorated in a great mix of modern architecture and traditional Swiss leather and fabric furnishings. Great views. The spa area was beautifully done. I especially liked the outdoor pool overlooking the mountains. It was deserted at 7 - 8 pm ish so we had it to ourselves. We were lucky and got our family rooms at an amazing price - I think they go for up to 1,000 CHF more in the peak season... worth looking out for shoulder season last minute offers.

If you want to go in and out of town, it may be a little far to walk. Taxis cost 3 CHF a person per trip. Or you can walk to the ski bus stop which is not too far away and is free with a ski ticket.

The management and staff were really friendly, Rooms were lovely with great views of the town and surrounding mountains. The indoor/outdoor Pool, Jacuzzi and spa room facilities were excellent. Brilliant Hotel...

nothing to dislike

Right next to the lift which brings you to the entire skiing region. Nice rooms with matterhorn view. Great breakfast.

Ski room bit too small.

Great hotel with friendly owners and personnel on a good location immediately next to the ski lift. Great location with many nice and good restaurants next to the marvelous ski area!

The room temperature kept on being too high even after our question to reduce it so we ended up sleeping with open windows with a -/- 15 degrees Celsius outside.

Very good location for skiing, right next to the Matterhorn Express lift. Nice swimming pool which is very relaxing after a long day of skiing.

It's a 10 minute walk from Zermatt center and good restaurants.

Design and comfort are first class. Very nicely decorated rooms, stylish and modern but still cosy. Very friendly atmosphere. Great spa with in and outdoor pools, the latter also accessible for kids. Literally right next to the cable car. Really fantastic! Will soon plan the next stay.

This is definitely the DREAM hotel you can get from Zermatt, although I had already had a high expectation before checking in, but it did give me surprise when I entered this hotel. The decoration is both delicate and wild, as to me, fantastic. I really appreciate the interior design of Heinz Julen. The outside swimming pool is wonderful as you can see the snow mountain view around. We booked one room with balcony facing the Matterhorn. The service stuff is very friendly, to some extend, passionate. The choice of choosing Matterhon Focus makes our Zermatt journy a wonderfuf trip. Thank you for what you have offered, Christian and all other stuff!

To be critical, if every reception masters better english, this will enhance the service.

Family room is adequately sized. Had see through glass ceiling above kids bed, great for star gazing during bedtime. Very personalized service throughout our stay. Good breakfast spread.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Matterhorn Focus. The family room was perfect for our needs and had a splendid view towards Matterhorn. The pool area was very appreciated by the whole family. But the things that stand out about this hotel is the attentative and friendly management and staff and the cool design throughout the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be able come back again sometime.

If there is one negative aspect of the hotel it is the fact that they do not serve dinner there. For the evening meals we had to take a short stroll to the village. This is only a minor inconvenience though and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby.
