Very friendly and efficient staff at reception and at breakfast.

A lot of noise from neighbours due to light doors. Bathroom quite small.

Location

The hotel is a fire trap! There is no emergency stair. The stair and lift shaft are one and the same. The bedrooms have no fire seperation, doors are not rated fire doors. If a fire should occur then it would quickly spread up the lift/stair shaft and onto each landing into the bedrooms. We actually made a contingency plan to tie all the sheets together and get out of the window ! ITS VERY DANGEROUS !!!

Location was excellent - a short walking distance from the Geneva Cornivin Station. It is also close to the lake and a number of very good eating joints.

The triple room was a little cramped and the elevator was rather small. We needed a few trips up and down .

The location to train station was great and very convenient. The staff allowed and my family to store our bulky luggages when we already checked out and was not able to get on a outbound train. Truly appreciate and kudos to Montana staff. Secondly, there was a black out in my room and the female staff took the trouble to change the fuse to ensure that light returns. That was her first time changing a fuse and she did a marvelous job. Well done.

Upholstery in the room has color already faded and lighting is inadequate and power point not enough.

1. Close to train station. Could walk to the hotel. Free Internet. 2. Staff was very friendly, efficient when I needed help in activating the free Internet service. Very helpful in giving advice to travel to city locations. 3. The breakfast was very adequate. The lady in the dining room was excellent. Great hostess. Makes the guests feel at home. Gracious and obliging.

The toilet better could be softer ad of better quality. I will bring my own roll from home next time I am at hotel Montana.

That staff was overall really nice. Honestly, they were probably the highlight of the whole city. Also they had a small working elevator. It was really close to the train station, and they gave you a transit card for the duration of your stay.

That they made you leave your keys every time you left the building. I thought that was really weird. Also the bed was really squishy and impossible to sleep in. The room felt kind of 'damp' overall is the best way I could describe it.

1. wifi is charged, however the other hotel (the same class) is not charged. 2. i thought booking on line via on Booking.com was completetly payment by credit card, but, the hotel was still ask me to pay before check out !!

Very friendly staff, excellent location near the station and the lake. Beds were very comfy.

The payment for the room was reserved (actually taken) from my card and they asked to pay 180 CHF other friend for room because she checked-in first. But the "reserved money" has not been reterned back to my card - 160 CHF till now. Beside the administrator of the hotel promissed to do it immideately after we checked-out.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was very clean and of a high decorative standard. Bedding was fresh and clean. Excellent location for sightseeing in the city and close to the train station. Buffer breakfast was ample and a good selection of items available.

The surrounding streets were very noisy late into the night and the noise unfortunately started again very very early in the morning. Due to the heat we had to keep our windows open which didn't help. I expect had we stayed longer we would of got used to the noise eventually.

1.noisy in the night 2.The full value of the room is 630 CHF for 3 days. When I was booking room, since my card was eliminated 210 CHF. When I leaft the hotel 04/06/2012, I paid 630 CHF on the account. Please, return 210 CHF on my card!

Excellent staff. Clean and comfortable room.

Wifi Internet. At 15 CHF for 3 hours this is extremely expensive especially since a neighbouring hotel on Rue Fribourg offers WiFi free of charge. Internet is a necessity for business and leisure travellers and Montana needs to do something about lowering costs

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I received a free Geneva transport card for the duration of my stay.The location is excellent, right next to the Central Station (Cornavin) with excellent connections for all buses, trams and trains, and the lake is just 2 minutes away, as are all the main shops and attractions. Breakfast was ample and everything was very clean. Positive: good location, excellent staff Negative: noisy, no wifi, quite basic for the price

Because of its location it's quite noisy and I found it too hot to keep the window closed. So it was a toss up between being too hot or being woken up by loud traffic outside. But you have to expect this if you want to stay right next to the central station and for convenience the hotel couldn't be better. Also there is no free wifi in the hotel which was frustrating and always a queue to use the public computer. It cost 15 francs for 3 hours access which lasted over my two night stay.
