Our room had a great view of Lake Lucerne, and the staff were lovely and friendly. A great location for skiing at Klewenalp. The only real negative was the smell of cooking fat coming from the kitchen - it was quite overpowering and not pleasant. We were on the floor above the kitchen and could smell fried onions in our room! |

It is a great location and very beautiful landscape in the rooms. The extra bed was terribly uncomfortable. Because it is an old sofa which is like 40 years old. Hair dryer in the room would be perfect ! Eating and drinking are extremely expensive in the hotel !! Very poor breakfast ! |

...situation ...hotel could benefit from a make over ,no maintenance done for years. We have been there several times and what a pity - now for the last time. Too much wear and tear and expensive ,as well diner in the hotel. |

the hotel is located in a quiet litte village, yet close to main roads. The cuisine is a one would expect; honest food, tasty and no-nonsense. Service is flexible and very friendly. Very clean rooms, spatious and equiped with a nice functional bathroom. Hiking trails in front of the hotel! |

Peace and tranquility and the great lakeside location. Staff were helpful and friendly. A relaxing location. Room furnishings were dated and the corirdors were dark and somewhat unwelcoming. Not until our second last day of 12 that someone discovered they had a menu in English. |

The staff at the Hotel Nidwaldnerhof was great. The hotel has a great view of the lake and the Alps. The sofa sleeper is a bit hard and uncomfortable, and a refrigerator in each room would help. |
