Though I have made my reservation well in advance (approximately one month) I was not expected at the day of my arrival. Ultimately it turned out that for the first night there were no more free rooms. The receptionist managed to accommodate me in another hotel just accross the street and paid extra expenses for me. For the rest of my stay I got the ordered room in Nydeck. This experience was not pleasant, on the other hand the receptionist resolved the situation to everybody's satisfaction.

Very little. The cleaning staff were ok. The wifi did work. The bar staff had a lousy attitude and there was almost no service. The room was pokey and characterless. The Hotel is part of a bar and hence very noisy for most of the night. Cigarette smoke drifted up into the room, even with the windows closed. The price of the room was more than a 4 star excellent hotel in Germany. This is due to the high cost of living in Bern. Cannot recommend this hotel at all. This Hotel was supposed to be 3 star, but we would give it one.

Location - although it seemed to be the furthest hotel from the train station walking from the train station through the city gives you a great overview of downtown Bern. Very close to Bear Park and the river that winds around the town. Right across the street from the bus stop that takes you to the train station if you do not want to walk. Very noisy - nights were the worst when there was much activity below my window- bar must of been open til 3 A.M. since that is when it went quiet. Room was clean and very compact, ceiling was coming away from the wall in one corner... Expensive for what you get but so is most of Switzerland, you have to be prepared to not have the comforts of North America. Be prepared to climb around a couple of flights of steep winding stairs - you need to be fit and not have a large heavy suitcase in tow.

Eigentlich hat mir nur die Zentrumslage gefallen. Preis/Leistung ist gar nicht gut. Zimmer gegen Strasse ist sehr laut.

Zimmer war sauber und ordendlich. Hatte ein Nichtraucher-Zimmer gebucht, das Zimmer roch jedoch stark nach Tabak und ein Aschenbecher war auch vorhanden... Obschon die schweizer Hotelpreise hoch sind, wurde für den Preis wenig geboten.

La posizione è la migliore che potessi sperare, è nel cuore della città vecchia a due passi dal parco degli orsi e da molti ristoranti. Dalle finestre si può godere di un piacevole scorcio della città Il personale alla reception è limitato e si divide tra le richieste degli ospiti e gli avventori del bar dell'albergo. Sono comunque tutti molto gentili ed ospitali.

Camere piccole e male illuminate bagno piccolo, rumoroso, la mia camera era sopra un bar con musica. Per fare la colazione al mattino bisogna uscire dall'hotel e rientrare nel bar. Non esiste un rapporto qualità/prezzo.Troppo caro per quello che offre.

Gute Lage. Das Zimmer lag direkt über der Bar, es war bis ca. 3.00 sehr laut. Der Eingang zur Bar ist direkt unter dem Zimmerfenster. Es wurde ständig unter meinem Zimmer geraucht. Der Rauch drang (auch bei geschlossenem Fenster) ins Zimmer und ich kam mir vor wie in einem Fumoir. Ich bin Nichtraucher und habe unter dem Gestank gelitten. Fazit: Für drei Stunden Schlaf ist 110.- deutlich zuviel.
