The traditional Hotel St. Georges can be found just 330 yards from the Zürich-Wiedikon Train Station and offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV.
Score from 380 reviews Good
The Mercure Stoller Zurich is a traditional hotel a 10 minute tram ride from the Zurich Train Station and the center. It features a restaurant with a terrace serving typical Swiss cuisine.
Score from 1026 reviews Very good
In a neoclassical building, Hotel Bristol offers a quiet location in the center of Zürich, about a 5 minute walk from the main train station and the ETH Zürich university.
Score from 971 reviews Good
Staff is friendly and helpful, everything is spotlessly clean, price is very reasonable considering it is Zurich. Location is 10 minutes from the centre which makes it more quiet, yet easy to reach by a tram, train or walking. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
Wifi costs extra.
-Closeness to public transport-~15mins to get to town -spacious room-we had junior suite -Reasonably priced for 4 -Cable tv -Supermarkets nearby and few other eating places -Good enough to rest at night after whole day of sightseeing in Zurich
-on the old side-carpet and furniture -No wifi -Kitchenette not functional-no kettle, etcs -walls are quite thin and streets are noisy --This hotel is good if you just want to sleep and shower on your holiday/stopover-limited facilities--
the staff had an excellent attitude especially andreas the location was good near the letzigrund stadium and lots o f bars/cafes and the bed was more comfortable than the one in my home i slept well every night i was there and i suffer with insomnia so that's really saying something
i thought breakfast and wifi should have been free
Room size (4 beds room), location, coop just in few steps
you can't find a car parking unless the hotel's which costs 26Fr/day
small but functional room, as well as hotel, clean, friendly staff
Quiet inside the hotel. Great power shower, helpful staff.
Room was facing busy street.
staff, facilitie, location
great bed to sleep on
Room had a weird smell Wifi is paid (really!!!)
noisy at night
Got an upgrade to the Mercure
Friendly and helpful staff. Location good for public transport to city. Close to Uetliberg for hiking and biking.
Room a bit on the warm side at night.
Junior suite is actually a spacious 2-bedroom apartment with a kitchen Friendly staff Direct tram to city center and railway station Quiet neighborhood and right across from Coop supermarket Very clean Excellent price / quality ratio
Elevator is very small No free wifi
Very good value hotel by Zurich standards, clean and comfortable with friendly staff.
bad smell in the room
It was a junior suite - 2 bedrooms and a living-room. A lot of space, good view (the suite was right under the roof), good bathroom.
There was no kitchen though it was on the photos. The staff explained to us that according to the description it didn't have to be - we had had to explicitly ask about it. In fact, it had got burned a bit and the closed it (a guy on the reception told us). This situation was really creepy - one guy was saying one thing, then the second was saying something else. Also, an arm of a sofa was broken and the fire-alarm on the ceiling seemed detached.
From the time I walked in the door the receptionists all spoke English well, were fun, helpful, efficient. Very compact single room but had everything I needed. Nice ensuite, very nice breakfast room with plenty of choice. They were happy to heat my milk for cereal. Told me of the free car parking times on the street. It is only 50 - 80 metres to the tram to take you to the City, Central tram and underground rail and historical buildings with a beautiful two canals. Like a sort of Venice except a motorised boat.
I just wish they had put net curtains up instead of just drapes so had to have drapes drawn even during the day. It wouldn't take much. Other than that, perfect
Very comfortable and clean room.
You need to pay for wifi, which is ridiculous for a hotel.
Very small room. The man in the reception is perfect and cooperative but his colleague (lady) need to be more helpful.
capacity of the room. the elevator for one person
Nice and clean place, near the HBF and accessible to downtown and city center by S-Bahn.
These days most countries and hotels provide you with free good drinking water and WiFi (internet). I really get upset when go to a place and I have to pay for these stuff. I had to pay 5-6 Euros to use the internet for 30min!! That is insane. The price was high, but it is Switzerland, everything is expensive ;)
It was very clean.
That we had to pay for wi-fi. It was very noisy, the noise from the other room came straight into our room. It was warm in the nights, because we had to close the window (because of noise from the street).
I love the bed the most. It was too comfortable n had the best sleep.
location & cleanliness
no free wifi & noisy at night due to trams
Proximity to Zurich
Loose shower fitting. Traffic noise- fronts Badenstrasse
Clean Good shower Comfortable bed Lift to 4 th floor Quiet small hotel.
Tiny fan, no air conditioner. Busy, noisy road, leaving window open at night not an option. No kettle in room.
Staff were friendly, taxi service quick.
Bed was hard, stains on the carpets, noise from street, dated hotel, breakfast room too small to seat even a moderate amount of guests, price high for what it is but that's just Zurich prices.
