Area information

Pontresina is located on one of the highest side valleys of the Oberengadins, in a sunny spot, protected from the wind, 1777 to 1860 metres above sea level towards the south west. Long stretched and still original, Engadinerdorf is surrounded by ample Arolla Pine and Lark Tree woodlands.

On the one hand, Pontresina is trendy and open to new things, on the other hand it is traditional and deeply rooted with its culture, boasting beautiful old Engadiner buildings, exiting and varied pubs and restaurants and an interesting cultural agenda.

Travel information

Pontresina is located in the Oberengadin region, right in the middle of the triangle between Zurich, Milan and Munich. You can comfortably reach the hotel via a well-built street net, by the Rhätischen Bahn or by plane.

By Train:
Take a train to Chur, you can travel by SBB (Swiss National Train). From Chur you continue by RhB’s (Rhätische Bahn) most modern express trains through Kehrtunnels and via very high viaducts. For an even more comfortable journey you can make use of the train's Fly-Gepäck-Service (fly-package-service). The 400 km journey from Zurich to Pontresina takes approximately 4 hours.

By Air:
You can catch daily flights from the international airports in Zurich, Geneva, Milan and Munich to Samedan/St. Moritz. Connections by air taxis serve many further national and international destinations.
