Very friendly Pizza is good Bike storage is a plus (host even put our bikes away) Rooms are comfortable and shower is hot

Getting between Tchierv and Livigno meant going through the Toll Tunnel or extremely expensive public transport Otherwise, very good!

Rooms OK. But dinner and breakfast were excellent. Special mention for Daniele, the cook, who gave us a second serving of our meal as we enjoyed it so much (a mixture of gnocchi and rosti with speck and dried plums, it is not knodel or pizokel, can't remember name)

Hospitality, good service, good kitchen, nice starting point for hiking and mountaineering, as well experiencing the Swiss national park.

    Some rooms have shared toalets.

The haus Frau, frauline Troub, was very nice and very accommodating. She allowed me to park in the hotel garage which is always an excellent touch to me, especially in the poor weather I was experiencing. The hotel is pretty and nicely kept. The food is good even tho I got screwed for a simple water request.

It's a fact of life that single rooms in any hotel will be the worst in the hotel. Always small and in the poorest location. I had requested a quiet room away from street noise if possible. I was placed in a small room with a highway on two sides even tho the hotel was nearly empty. Two doors down were rooms facing the quiet mountains. A good hotel will always place a person in a good room when occupancies are low, single or not. The Staila did not give this consideration. I was blessed with ha chorus of road nose. It was quiet from midnight to about 4. Many will find the Staila a nice place but I will have to find another place next trip. I highly recommend the Staila in Fuldera, a few miles south (no association with each other, oddly enough).

All the Staff were very, very friendly and jolly, especially as our linguistic skills are virtually non existent. Rooms were very comfortable. Restaurant was clean and very inviting. Meals were delicious. Would definitely return but request a first floor room!

Would have liked to have had a lift within hotel, although Manager did help with our luggage to the second floor. Also if hotel had information/menu's written in English it would have been so much easier. Hotel has a fast flowing stream running behind it and it was very noisy so we were grateful that windows were double glazed.

    Room was clean. Good breakfast.

I booked a room with patio and balcony, were not there. There are 2 very small showers. The 'shared bathroom' is not really a bathroom, but there are separate toilet and shower rooms. The space in front of the shower cabine is about 30 by 100 cm. Had to open the door to get dressed. Nothing to do in the village of Tschierv.
