nice hotel. the food was good the crew was nice and very plesent

The thing we liked the most is the rich breakfast buffet as well as the restaurant staff, two in particular. The food discrete but very expensive maybe because of the view and the nice ambiance. The indoor pool is nice, but cud probably be even better in summer. This hotel is not good for people without a car, it's up in the middle of the mountain, but the view is spectacular!

I didn't like how the woman at the reception received us just because i didn't declare having a kid with us, being used to having him with us in bed in hotels. She treated us as if we can't pay the extra charge, and it really irritated me. I was expecting a more gentle treatment. There was also no shampoo nor lotions in the bathroom for how much it had cost us!

The Park Hotel Rovio is in a lovely, quiet, town; three train stops from Lugano, Switzerland. There is a local bus ( seven minute ride) that goes from the Maggio-Melano train station to Rovio. The hotel is very clean. The room we had was comfortable, the beds were great and the bathroom was modern. The free breakfast was all you can eat and the food was excellent. We also ate dinner at the hotel for the three nights we stayed there and the food was excellent. The owners and staff were friendly and very helpful. The gardens were beautiful. We would stay there again.

Friendly waiters and employees. Boss is present everywhere which gives a good impulse for quality. Rooms separated by thin panels. No real privacy, but clean. Contort is from another age.

Slow dinning service. No originality in plates presentation, but food quality is correct.

This is a charming hotel in a lovely mountain setting quite convenient to Lugano and located in a lovely old village. The park in front of the hotel is very lovely with a stunning lake view though rather ecclectically furnished with a mix of many styles of tables and chairs. Of course the place needs renovation as some of the other reviews mentioned, but if it were renovated, it would cost 3-4 times as much! I thought it was a great value and the room was even more charming than I expected for the price and compared to rooms I've had elsewhere in Switzerland and Italy in this price range. The restaurant was good, offering typical Ticinese food and the breakfast was very good with lots on offer and a good diversity of items plus several types of freshly cooked eggs.

Stylistically rather ecclectic - if management were looking for ways to improve, would suggest reducing the number of different styles of tables and chairs in front of the lobby outside and in the park.

The view was amazing, unfortunately we did not get a room with a view of the lake. The breakfast was pretty awesome!

I am not one to complain about not sleeping due to noisy so I never take that into consideration when choosing a hotel but this hotel was extremely noisy! Room 301 had a constant knock sound at the door! We looked everywhere for the sound but we think it was coming from the roof. It was too hot to close the windows so the goats kept us awake starting at dawn with their noises! Also the hotel may be 15km from Lugano but its at least a 30 to 40 min drive up a small road mountain, very scary at times!

Very friendly staff, peaceful ambiance and nice surroundings. Always a pleasure to come there. I don't understant why some guests ask for renovation, it looks ok so far.

Nowadays, wifi should be free and working in all rooms
