The Ameron Hotel Flora is in a prime location, 500 ft from the Chapel Bridge and 320 yards from the train station and Lake Lucerne. It has stylish rooms.
Score from 1124 reviews Very good
The Ibis Budget Hotel Luzern City is within a 15 minute walk from Lucerne Main Train Station, the Old Town, and Lake Lucerne.
Score from 2534 reviews Good
The Seehotel Hermitage is tranquilly situated within its own grounds on the shores of Lake Lucerne, only 2.5 miles from the center of the city with beautiful views of the landscape.
Score from 868 reviews Wonderful
Just 110 yards from the Luzern train station and 220 yards from the ship pier, the famous Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge) and the lake, the Waldstätterhof Hotel enjoys a central location.
Score from 597 reviews Very good
The hotel is right by Luzern's Hauptbahnhof (main train station) so it's convenient for all the things you want to do in the area. Also a quick walk to the Lake Lucerne ferry stop.
It's pretty expensive!
Location, Room Size and Lobby
Location is not that far from old towm/ railway station...good breakfast, great wifi
cant think of anything
Staff very helpful and friendly. Junior suite was perfect Very clean and modern. Breakfast was very good.
There was a fair going on across the street which made things more congested than usual. But was not a big deal.
The staff were extremely nice and helpful and even gave us an upgrade which was very much appreciated. Lovely rooms and a short stroll to the shops etc.
The hotel is in a great location you can walk by the pier every night and is a 20 min walk to anywhere in the city. The shopping area is a 10 min walk and the haphbahnhof (train station) is a 5 min walk away! While in the city everything is central as it is quite small but the sites and most of the people are quite helpful!! The service for food or drinks isn't on the same scale as Canadian or American standards but is quite good!! If you're looking for something cheap and easy the city of luzern is not for you, everywhere you go it's expensive but the mountain views and old town looks of the city makeup for it. As for the hotel the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The rooms are clean as can be and the fitness/relaxation/sauna is a must to use especially after walking for long hours each day!!
It was somewhere to sleep. Room quite large. Artificial "come again" from reception at end.
Unnecessary wait at reception on arrival. Glass bathroom wall. Rust fan in bathroom. Wet below air conditioning. Air conditioning came on loud just after going to sleep. Air conditioning reset to full effort every day. Breakfast expensive. Parking - public - expense. Fire escape dangerous - the stair next to the fitness room, once entered could not be escaped from, even with a room key card. The only way out was at the ground floor. If there were smoke or fire in the stair well = probable death = VERY POOR. room not cleaned on one of 5 days. Cycle machine in gym had failed readout screen. No rowing machine. Bath taps at end not middle so difficult to reach round screen. Drains both non-functional unless removed. 2 tall glasses put in a drawer were persistently returned upright, risking breakage when the drawer was opened. A better reception at the start may have made most of these faults more bearable.
Nice lobby, good quality toiletries, helpful reception staff
Rusty kettle, broken clothesline, location near university with rowdy drunk students at night
Modern furniture, large room, comfortable beds, well appointed bathroom. View on lake, large windows.
Missing face cloth in bathroom. Breakfast too expensive. Not enough English channels on TV
the location is nice
The room wasnt cleaned for two days/
Location Breakfast Staff Building
We got room about 1:30 hour late.
Room view was out enjoyable
Carpet in room was stained and spotted .We would have like a top sheet for sleeping.
Modern and clean hotel, fantastic location and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Perfect stay in Lucerne and very happy with the hotel
Location, near railway station, although no indication and nobody able to guide you to the hotel
No queen/king size bed in the room, just two single beds "linked", despite booking and request to staff. Toiletries and, especially, towels quality very bad - shameful Minibar "fridge" is not making cold but is sealed Room cleaner do not understand it is possible to place the garbage bin on the left side of the table, she/he insisted to place it on the right side, even on top of my luggage (which doesn't have enough place on the left side) - awkward or harassment Restaurant is serving only snacks or bar food for lunch Pretty small relaxation/sauna area Tap handle broken when check in - nobody observed before, anyhow this was immediately fixed after complain. No visible front desk personnel during night time
Staff were excellent, very helpful. Hotel was in a great location behind train & bus station. Luzern is a beautiful city
Clean, comfortable, new, etc
Parking costs 32 chf per day
Carpark! Awesome expensive! 64 CHF for 26 h, without seaview for my car..... That hurts!
It was a beautiful and very clean hotel. Just what the husband and I wanted and needed.
As we were checking out of the hotel, we were asked to pay for a breakfast that we did not attended or order. The breakfast was charged to our room. We had slept in until 1pm that day so it was definitely not us. We got a bit of push back from the staff but they backed off once I showed my Passport to show my signature and that the one on the bill was not mine or my husbands.
Location near the central train station Huge room with interesting details
Great location, exceptionally efficient and comfortable, contemporary hotel. Can't find a fault. Staff very charming and helpful at all times
Location, Comfort of room, Staff very helpful. Nice lounge, Great selection of Malts!
Breakfast not great value for money. No pool. Very limited room service menu for getting something to eat late on.
close to the station and ferry, about a 7 minute walk
we arrived at 10.30pm, there was no one at the desk, as they only had 1 staff member on overnight. It took 10 minutes for him to come to the desk (he was apologetic though). We got into our room, and the toilet was broken (there was a bolt sitting on the top of the toilet seat, probably left by the housekeeping staff). There was a dirty handprint on the bathroom tiles near the sink. We called reception, had to wait 30mins, for the same guy that checked us in, to come have a look at the toilet. He couldn't fix it, and told us someone will have a look at it in the morning. That same night we were served by a crazy bar waitress - whilst making our drinks, she threw her shoe over the counter to the other side of the room and started swearing..!? For such a big, well-known hotel chain and the price we paid, very disappointed with our experience.
there are hairs at the floor.
The room and sauna room were nice and modern. The location is very close to the pier and nice view for the lake of Luzern.
I have to check-in at 3 p.m. which I think it is a bit too late because I sent a request for the early check-in at 11 a.m. PS I arrived at 9 a.m.
The breakfast was really good! The room size was very good. The location was really good.
I didn't find the room very comfortable. Ours was a business class room. The room size was good. But the bathrooms are very impractical. There is a thin translucent wall connecting the room to the shower cubicle and you can literally see everything. The bathroom has a sliding door which you cannot lock from inside and the worst thing was that even when you closed the door completely there was a big gap left and you could see everything inside! Impractical.
