Water in shower changed from cold to hot all the time during shower. Room service menu is a joke, and very expensive. There are no snacks for lunch or for during the day. The sky lounge closes very early, such as Saturday it closes at 8pm...what are you supposed to do afterwards? Not even a kettle in the room for tea and coffee. Facilities very limited, such as indoor pool. Most staff just speak German. Breakfast very expensive and not big selection

Large and convenient room, excellent food, good location of the hotel

The room was big and I especially liked the bathroom.

The construction work going on outside-not connected to the hotel, but it spoiled the view and was not pleasant when passing by on foot.

It was really nice and clean room. The location was good for business trip. The hotel gave me free transportation ticket during my stay, and it was really convenient to take tram etc. Reception staffs are very friendly and polite.

My room was little small and has poor view which I can see a roof next building. I prefer to have a mini-bar instead of purchasing from vending machine (every floor has one). But, these are a small negatives.

The front desk people were the greatest.They were very helpful by giving maps, ,directions to the old city and tram tickets.We were concerned by the construction that has been going on for a couple of years and was near the hotel.The front desk person gave us an up grade to a larger room on the eight floor which was first class Her personal attention to our concerns shows that they want to do the best for their guests.Pay up for a room that includes breakfast it is a great deal and a enjoy a great selection of food.Make sure you use the steam room and sauna after your walk around the city. The bar lounge is a must visit, good atmosphere , great service and good drinks . We only could stay 2 days but they were great! We would highly recommend this hotel for your stay. We would stay here again on a return visit.Great staff, Thank You

Our room was an up grade and had enough room for two guests.I do not no if the original room for us was of sufficient size You have to check your room out and see if it right for you. The great staff will do the best fir you if you ask.

A wonderful hotel in Basel. The staff were very professional, attentive and surprised us in many beautiful ways. Thank you so much, we really appreciated the way they made our stay unforgettable! The room was modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean and the corner rooms with windows from floor to ceiling offer magnificent views over the beautiful city of Basel. I especially liked the modern and stylish bathroom decorated with good taste - simply gorgeus. The SkyBar was super and we had an unforgettable evening there admiring the views and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and once again very attentive and friendly staff. You will also get a free ticket for public transports during your stay in Basel which is a great bonus. Tram stops right in front of the hotel and in any case the location of the hotel is very good. The breakfast was of a very high standard and had a good variety of buffet options. We would definitely return to this hotel and can recommend it to everyone who want to make the most of their stay in Basel. Simply Special!!!

The first room I was assigned was supposed to be non smoking but absolutely stunk of smoke. Staff were very good about changing my room.

Very close to the Fair and good facilities.

The shower at the 13. level didin´t work properly (cold and hot water inconstantly), even after complaining at the front desk.

Room and general cleanliness, excellent location, excellent breakfast.

The sink was blocked, but was repared quickly. The safe didn't work, I was told it would be fixed in the morning, but someone came only after reporting the second time. In a deluxe room for 2, I would expect two armchairs, not one.

We had a room. On 14th floor view was stunning . Sky lounge on 30th floor great

Very helpful and friendly

This hotel was quite far away from everything and we found it very hard just to get a small breakfast. Everything was very expensive. We did have one breakfast in a restaurant and it cost us $40 for 2 people. Way too much. At your breakfast buffet it would have being $60 for 2 people.

this is undoubtedly one of the best hotels I ever stayed in, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, good location

1. the printer in the computer area was out of ink :) 2. the opening times of the sky terrace in the hotel catalog did not match with the opening real times but these are minor things overall

Sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Aussicht

Clean and comfortable rooms though the rooms are small. Free wifi to guests is appreciated. Fair hotel for the budget and business travellers. But not for luxury travellers.

Room service arrived 9.30 early in the morning when we were still in the bed. Also no coffee making or ironing facilities in the room which is a bit annoying for a 4 star rated hotel though we stayed in a basic double.
