The breakfast buffet is superb!! Our room was spatious and comfortable. Good location.

No parking available at hotel. Not great for kids (no play room or activities).

clean. Newly renovated bathroom. Confortable duvet. Very good italian restaurant in the hotel. Nice relaxing spa area with steam bath& sauna

The hotel is right in engelberg--easy train or driving access. Parking is included. We were able to bring our dog - surcharge for her (large dog) was not unreasonable.

I didn't like that housekeeping knocked on the door at 8:30 on Sunday morning! Also, the spa and pool closes early, at 21:00.

The doors to the hallway were not very soundproof, so you could hear all the activity going on in the hall. This was further accentuated by drunk guests arriving back late who proceeded to disrupt the entire floor (which is no fault of the hotel) but it was clearly heard through the thin doors.

Close to the mountain.

Parking was full.. really stupid for paying such a high price for a room, but no parking available!!

Location of ski bus stop directly outside the hotel. Good room size with plenty of storage.

1. Breakfast selection quite poor given cost of room. 2. Hotel staff unaware of Swiss Trains Baggage service (whereas this should be highlighted to guests with the concierge taking care of the luggage transfers). 3. Hotel feels very corporate (could be situated in any city rather than a mountain village) - maybe roaring log fires in the reception areas and a less 'harsh' interior design in the bedrooms would help? 4. Exterior of the hotel looks like a 1970s concrete monstorsity and does not fit with village surroundings - maybe some more appropraite cladding and roofline would help? 5. Bedding was not changed during our 4 nights of our stay and the beds are far too hard - had to request duvets to sleep on top of as a mattress topper.

Das Hotel hat überhaupt keine 4Sterne verdient! Die Hotels entsprachen überhaupt nicht den Bildern, es war sehr heiss und trockene Luft im Zimmer, alte Möbel (ziemlich abgenutzt), der Tisch war kaputt. Obwohl es hiess "Doppelbett" hatten wir zwei Einzelbetten aneinander gestellt erhalten: der Spalt war sehr störend! Auch war es sehr hellhörig und man hatt jeden Lärm gehört, es war sehr unruhig. Das Hotel lässt absolut zu Wünschen übrig. Für 4 Sterne muss eine Totalrennovation her.

Weinkartenpreise zu hoch

Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Engelberg und ist doch ruhig. Durch die zentrale Lage und die Busverbindungen im Winter ist man schnell in den Skigebieten. Die Zimmer sind gross und hell.

Die Parkplätze in der Tiefgarage sind zu teuer, wenn man bedenkt, dass diese nicht reserviert werden und man nie sicher ist, ob ein Parkplatz vorhanden ist, wenn man von einem Ausflug zurück kommt.
