Resort Walensee  

Beautiful location, GREAT staff - very helpful,

Essentially the hotel and ski resort (Flumserberg) are perfect for a weekend ski break from Zurich. The direct train from Zurich hb to Unterterzen runs hourly and takes 80min. When arriving at Unterterzen, it is a literal 2 min walk to the hotel / Intersport / 8-man bubble ski lift, so you are able to head straight up to the mountain, drop bags in the hotel, and rent skis if required. The hotel is also next to the lake, which provides a lovely setting for relaxing in the evening. Breakfast is also included in the price, which was a substantial buffet with hot and cold options. I would also imagine the resort would be excellent in the Summer, especially given its proximity to Zurich.

The hotel is fairly expensive but as is everything in Switzerland.

A good few of the light bulbs didn't work in the rooms and staff were a bit thin on the ground particularly at breakfast. Minor things but a bit more attention to detail would balance off the cost of staying there to be more satisfactory.

Wellness only works 3 days a week in low season.

Magic location on the lake. Close to gondola ride right across the road. Good value restaurants in the complex with excellent staff. Beautiful eating areas with relaxing views of the lake and surrounding mountains

Television located on a stand at the foot of the bed instead of on the wall. It seemed to always be in the way

I really love the place, the area is so quite and perfect for couples. I would highly recommend it for the honey moon or those who are after a quite days and staying in the resort .

The resturante was lower quality comparing with the other accommodation, the other negative I would say is the seice. Over all perfect place

i liked everything about my visit, it was very relaxing loved the mountain veiw and the lake. the staff were very helpful and prof. definalty will come back.

breakfast selection was very limited. as i'm a muslim their were almost nothing i can eat because it all contained pork.

Extra charge for single bed, was not advised of this till arrival. Charged 9 francs for a bottle of water at dinner, waited 1 and a half hours for dinner, resort sports shop closed on tuesday when we wanted to hire bikes. Poor internet, internet not working in our room and was not fixed. No air conditioning, rooms very hot. Laundry not readily available.

Private resort in front of lake, the view is spectacular

The resturant has limited menue options , the servise is average , the staff have a difficulty in english language communication with visitors, I had to wait long time to get my food serviced

Die Damen an der Rezeption sind immer sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

L'endroit doit être superbe surtout en été.

Dommage que la piscine était fermée et que le petit déjeuner ne commence qu'à 07h00.

Das Personal war allgemein sehr freundlich. Essen in dem angeschlossenen Restaurant gut.

Das Resort ist sehr schön gelegen, mit genialem Blick auf Walensee und das Bergmassiv. Die Architektur ist ansprechend, modern und doch alpentypisch.

Die Wege zum Wellnessbereich sind sehr weit. Es gab keine Bademäntel, keine Badeschlappen, wenig Handtücher. Im Schwimmbad waren die Türen schon angefault, das war sehr hässlich und für ein 4 Sterne Hotel nicht angebracht.
