Localization is great!!!

No wi-fi in the room. No reception after a certain time at night.

The location and outlook from the Hotel is excellent. The staff were friendly and were happy to converse in english. The included continental breakfast provided plenty of choice of quality food.

We booked a double room however, the bed layout was two single beds pushed together. The light pillows were uncomfortable to lay your head on. This was the second time we have stayed at the Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary the last visit was in 2008 although the room was much larger it did not have the comfort of the rooms on the top floor.

The room is clean and nice to live, and I had a river view room. But sadly I went there only in the evening when it is fully dark, and I had to leave early next morning. I feel like the river view room is not that important, because in Luzern probably you won't stay in the hotel unless sleeping. The hotel is very close to the train station. It takes about 5 min walk only. The hotel staff is nice and polite.

The hotel is not that easy to find at the beginning, I would expect a bigger entrance. The hotel building and elevator are very old. I was looking for a PC to access Internet, because I didn't have my laptop with me. But there isn't in this hotel.

The breakst was very poor, the internet connection it wasn't inside the room only in public area which means at the restaurant and on two corridors one on the first froor and one to the second floor.On the corridors was only one chair and a small table and people passed there everytime and at the restaurant if you didn't want to eat it wasn't comfortable to go there with all the guests of the restaurant. If you take off the duvet cover the duvet was very derty.

Room 45 was unbelievably difficult to cool down. We arrived after a hot spelll and the outside temperature dropped quickly to 20c after an electrical storm and heavy rain on the first night but inside the temperature would have been around 30c. We asked for a fan which we ended up placing next to the only door which opened onto the common area balcony (a real security issue at night). It helped but during the five days of our stay we had to keep the small door shut during the day and then run the fan overnight next to the open door. Our guess is that the room was well insulated for the cold winter nights but in summer the opposire occurs and there is no ventlation to do the job. Also we experienced a locking fridge for the first time in our travels, a real nuisance when you wanted access to an esssential part of the room facilities. WiFi access in common areas really meant only the restaurant during breakfast because at night it is a commercial restaurant and the reception area was uncomfortably small for logging on to internet.

The staff and the breakfast were excellent.

Our room on upper floor on the west was very hot from afternoon to next morning. This, however, should be a problem only in a few weeks in summer.

Convenient, good location for station, old town, shopping, eating. Helpful staff. Comfortable room with fabulous view, cleanliness.
