Hotel information

The hotel Schützen has its own bus stop so you do not even have to walk (3 minutes) to the station, if you do not want to. No other hotel in the village has this advantage. Another advantage are the various possibilities for returning to the hotel. From Grindelwald you can either ski back or take the train. From Mürren it is possible to ski back to the hotel or to take the cable car from Grütschalp or Stechelberg.

Food & beverage

Especially in the winter the restaurant with its open fireplace offers a relaxing and homely, typical Swiss atmosphere. In summer you enjoy superb views from the garden terrace towards the mountains.

For breakfast you can select from an extensive buffet with many local specialities. In the evening you can either have the 3-course half board menu or choose delicious Swiss dishes à la carte.

Breakfast buffet is served from 08:00 - 10:00.

Half-board evening meals are served from 18:00 to 20:30.

The Lauterbrunnen valley at the foot of the 3 peaks, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau is in one of the most spectacular valleys in the Alps, situated between gigantic rock faces. The lively main village at the beginning of the valley is the starting point of the most scenic and spectacular mountain railways in Europe.

With 72 thunderous waterfalls as well as snug valleys, colourful meadows and lone alpine huts, the Lauterbrunnen valley is one of the biggest natural conservation areas in Switzerland. In winter, you can find world-famous skiing areas around Lauterbrunnen, like Mürren, Schilthorn (scene of the Inferno Race), Wengen-Kleine Scheidegg (scene of the Lauberhorn Race) and Grindelwald First.
