The location was excellent by the lake with mountains in the background .

The location is excellent. We can see Mount Niesen et.al sitting at our balcony. The staff are very nice, and my son was happy to feed the ducks every day.

It was a amazing stay. I traveled with my girlfriend to Switzerland and this hotel really made our trip. The location of this hotel is really great which enables you to see the entire bay of Spiez. Spiez is fantastically beautiful and the view of this hotel is definitely one of the best in Spiez.

The hotel is located in Spiez which is close to many attractions in the Bernese Oberland area of Switzerland. Spiez has very good train connections to many attractions. The hotel is a 10 min walk downhill from the train station (look the path down the hill to the Marina and follow the signs); however, going uphill is a different story. We asked the hotel to phone a taxi which cost 10 Swiss francs to the railway station. The hotel is close to the ferry which services Lake Thun and you can use it to travel to Thun (a lovely city with an interesting old quarter, several wooden bridges and a castle) and Interlarken West railway station. The hotel's clientele were mainly retired couples from Switzerland and Germany. The food was good and reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and tidy. We also had a nice outdoor balcony to sit and admire the views of the lake and mountains. At night there was very little noise apart from the lapping of the waves and the ducks.

The room was very large, considering that it was a single. There was a mini-kettle and coffee/tea in the room.

The bathroom was tiny compared with the room. The waiter in the restaurant asked for a tip.

Fantastic location overlooking Lake Thun. Good sized rooms. Good breakfast. Brilliant stay.

I liked best the great location on Lake Thun, within a few minutes to catch the boat; the good size single room (very rare, as solo travelers are allocated the worst small rooms) and very friendly staff who always greet you with a "good morning" .

The breakfast while good might have had more variety such as an egg dish such as boiled eggs or scrambled

Absolutely fabulous location and stunning views of the Marina and mountains.Make sure you get a lakeside view room with a balcony ! The room was very spacious and comfotable,but along the usual large hotel style, not much individuality. The bathroom was in a time warp, just so old fashioned and a shower tray with a curtain you pulled round you. Needed updating urgently. Nice dinner on the terrace ( which you could not book ) Typical Swiss style but good Rosti. Nothing special about the ambience or the service, except the wonderful view over the lake.

The attitude of the staff was appalling. They really could not have cared whether we were there or not. Most unfriendly,unhelpful and inhospitable. We were possitively ignored by the waitress at breakfast ( who had served the night before) She kept shrugging when asked for service, and kept serving people who had arrived after us.Then we got a lame excuse from the owner, having waited 35 minutes for a soft boiled egg, he told us the "egg machine" had broken down !!! Do the Swiss not understand that you can boil a pan of water and put in some eggs and cook for 4 to 5 minutes ! Probably much too efficient. This to me appeared "we don't like the English". We would never return and recommend other English travellors to look for a more hospitable hotel despite it's wonderful location. Also incredibly difficult to park near the hotel.

Small bathroom.

As touring motorcyclists, we don't always receive a welcome like this. Our hosts, Mr & Mrs Keller and their staff were extremely attentive at check-in, dinner and evening aperitiffs. The restaurant is obviously extremely popular with holiday makers and locals alike and was very busy in comparison to other nearby establishments, which added to the atmosphere at dinner. I would wholeheartedly recommend the hotel and restaurant for location on the lake and for freindliness of staff and quality of food. Stay here!

Very spacious room, light and airy......looking out over the marina...mountains....perfect. Room very well appointed and clean. Friendly and informative staff. Parking available to Hotel guests, nearby the hotel. Able to stop outside hotel on arrival and departure for luggage. Good breakfast.....

Excellent location with good lake view (only for some rooms). Breakfast is awesome expeciallty for the lake view.

The customer service people at the front desk is just bad and helpless.

We stayed this hotel on our way to Grinderwalt. Hotel location is nice facing beautiful lake.

Unfortunatly our room was opposite side of lake, the reservation form is said "lake or castle view" but the condition of the rooms lake view or castle view are big difference. We see laundry pants and under wears fooked beside castle. We recommend this hotel to other visitores if its lake side.

We had a room with a beautiful lake view. The room was specious and had everything you need for an extended stay, the room was very clean and breakfast was good.

There is no free Wi fi and the corridor was darlk and with too many doors.

Friendly, comfortable, staff very helpful, perfect location with easy liks to beauty spots.
