The warm welcome from the owners of the hotel. The position was perfect for just parking the car and walking into the old town, which was charming, and the lakeside, which was beautiful. |

The hotel is located close to the train station and the centre of Locarno and is easy to access. It is clean throughout and charmingly decorated. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there was a very nice little lift to take us and our luggage up and down, particularly important for a more mature traveller. The room had both a small fridge and a safe. The owners were friendly and very helpful - they are also fluently multilingual, very helpful when your knowledge of French and German is both rusty and limited. |

The fact that it was quiet at night, even though we were a 3 min walk across a busy road from the main train station. The a/c worked well and breakfast was okay. Great location in Locarno to get to the train station, lake, hiking areas, downtown for shopping/eating. Owners were helpful with recommendations. Nothing really. Suggestion for future guests, request a quiet room, away from street side. The owner called me to change our room to a double superior for only 20chf more a night. Was worth it. |

I am sorry to say, we did not like this hotel and checked out after only one night. Reasons below. While the room was clean and acceptable, we were extremely disappointed with the location of the hotel. The website described the location as minutes to the main plaza and shopping. However, I do not recall reading that is is literally accross from the railroad tracks of the large Locarno station. Additionally, when exiting the hotel one needs to carefully navigate a narrow walkway located dangerously close to a highway with fast moving traffic. |

The staff were really friendly and helpful. I was made to feel very welcome at the hotel and the room was spotlessly clean with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The internet was quite expensive but this was out of the control of the hotel. |

Ausser der sehr zentralen Lage die Freundlich- und Aufmerksamkeit der Hoteliers. Als Alleinreisender war alles problemlos - für längere Aufenthalte ist der Verkehr vor dem Haus zu bestimmten Tageszeiten ( z.B. morgens) ziemlich heftig! Mich persönlich hat er jedoch nicht gestört. |

Sehr zenrale Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe von Bahnhof und Seepromenade. Hoteleigene Parkplätze, sehr schönes Haus, hat Charme. Etwas heruntergekommen. Hat vor allem innen eine gehörige Renovation nötig. Parkplätze für grosse Autos ungeeignet (zu eng). Preise für den Zustand des Hotels am obersten Limit. |

Das Haus hat Charme und vor allem das Treppenhaus hat uns gefallen. Die Lage wäre ideal, wenn man nicht lärmempfindlich ist. Ideal ist, dass es einen Parkplatz hat. Der Inhaber ist zu sehr präsent. Es hat zuviel Kitsch im Hotel. Die Teppiche im Zimmer haben uns gestört. Das Morgenessen ist etwas dürftig. Gestört haben uns die Zimmertüren, sie sollten weiss gestrichen werden. Die Lage ist ziemlich lärmig. |
