The welcome was friendly and attentive. My partner and his daughter later joined me and arrived with a dog. The accommodation of the dog was no problem at all!

The location was great. Easy walks everywhere. The hotel was less expensive compared to many Zurich hotels.

The TV was tiny, the bathroom was large, but water leaked on the floor when you showered. The view from our room was directly into someone's residence. The decor left quite a bit to be desired. We were also disappointed that the double bed was two beds pushed together, which is something we've found to be common in Europe.

it's noisy - because it's tucked in the tourist part of the old city, even with the windows closed you get a lot of ambient street noise. Especially on a Saturday nite.

Nice hotel located in a small alley with comfortable quirky rooms. Original art on the walls of rooms and halls. Helpful front desk staff. The bar on the street below was a bit noisy and night, but the hotel was conveniently located to many of the downtown attractions and a very short easy walk from the Hauptbahnhof and Lake Zurich.

Good position for travellers. Quiet but close to all transport, the river, shops etc. Vey clean, friendly and most comfortable.

Could have a tea or coffee making facility of some kind for guests.

This is my fourth stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel conveniently located for shopping and transport. Although the hotel is fairly simple, you get decent value unless you end up in one of the smaller single occupancy rooms in the old building.

Because this was my fourth visit, I requested the rooms I prefer in the hotel annex across the street. I did this through booking.com, but was told, only when I arrived at the hotel that my preferred rooms were not available. No one contacted me to let me know it would not be possible to let me have the rooms I requested, though they did apologise for this when I arrived. Nor did anyone offer to upgrade me to one of their available double rooms. Some goodwill, in this circumstance, would have been very welcome.

Overall a great value for Zurich. The room and bathroom are quite spacious for the location and price. The bathroom is decorated with two shades of blue with orange highlights, fresh and clean.

The rooms are in a separate building across the alley Rossligasse from the front desk. On the first night, the ground floor of the building smelled sewage. On the second night, the building door was open with a hose laid on the ground across entire entrance area and the smell got worse. I could smell it in my room on the 3rd floor. Had to open windows and got the room ventilated. Perhaps a plumber was at work. As other reviewers mentioned, there was noise at night. But if you keep the windows closed, it shouldn't be an issue.

This hotel is a good hotel, well placed in Niederdorf. It Is proper and calm even the quarter is animated. The ceiling are high which gives an impression of space. The breakfast buffet is good.

I was not abe to use the wifi (I tried 4 times to enter the access ey of 20 char! I didn't ask the employees as I had access to internet using my professional usb key).

We stayed at the small suite with terrace, a great top view to the lake and city. Simply love this cozy and cute old hotel with very modern yet home feeling boutique hotel. Teh reception is very helpful replying my continous qeustions before confirming the booking. Will surely stay there next time in Zurich.
