The hotel is old and charming. Great restaurant. Great location anf fun.

very small room. We were there for only a night. if we were there for longer the small size would have been a negative issue.

Excellent restaurant, helpful staff who seem to be there 24h a day. Rooms are ordinary but the shower is very good.

The inner courtyard was a bit noisy (as it is shared with other buildings), when the windows are open at night.

Initial room offered was tiny but was able to negotiate something better. Organised tours and business dinners sometimes impact adversely on public areas for residents. No free wi-fi.

Great location, only a couple of minutes walk from Chur train station. The hotel is located at the edge of the old-town and thus excellent for strolling through the old city center. It's on a quiet street and there are loads of restaurants and bars within walking distance (again a few minutes at most). Staff were friendly and helpful; the room was really comfortable and clean. This is a more traditional style of Swiss hotel, with lots of wooden interior.

I thought it rather expensive compared with other Swiss hotels. Room was small. Breakfast was ok but not special.

Since I was spending 1 night there, location was the most important factor; it was close to the railway station. The breakfast was good.

This was the only hotel in Switzerland that did not have free wifi internet access. For me that is a deal breaker and so we would not stay here again.

Upgraded to one of their suites. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very good.

Chur isn't overly interseting. We used it as a stopping point for our journey back to Germany

Lovely staff that receives you with a genuine smile. It is very romantic and the rooms have this wonderful smell of solid wood. It is absolutely spotless and clean. The beds are very comfortable and you are covered with a soft down blanket that keeps you warm in cold weather. The breakfast is just great: very Swiss quality with crisp "gipfel" an an assortment of home-made jams. Strong coffee with hot foaming milk, as it should be. Swiss "Muesly" and yogurts to your liking and a special grinder to join all the components together. The breakfast room is an experience on itself. The location is very central to the old city and Chur is just such a lovely City with a real atmosphere where shopping is still an estetic pleasure (as compared to tastless us shopping malls). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you hotel Stern!

The hotel is not cheap, but gives value for its money. The rooms are small for us standards, but this is Switserland and you have to respect the rooms in the framework of how inn rooms were a hundred years ago. The hotel seems very busy and hosts functions, so you should specifically ask for rooms that are not close to the dining area.

Just about everything. Staff were wonderful, and every request or enquiry was dealt with quickly and with a smile. Rooms were adequate, and comfortable, althought a little small. A fan was provided for the times when it got warmer than desirable.

1. The car parking was difficult - the roads and spaces were narrow to get into it. Though not much can be done sbout this it would be good to stress to people the difficulties. 2. Our room did not have a light or bedside table on one side of the bed and it was difficult to read there or keep phone etc except on the floor. So not too good. 3, The breakfast was dreadful. We came down in the last hour and most of the food was gone. When we asked for bread etc we were told by a very surly waitress that it was finished. For the price of the hotel this was not good enough

The young lady at the reception desk when we arrived was very helpful. Our stay was very short (we just needed somewhere to stay for a night on our way from Zermatt to Zurich) so we can't really say much more.

The dining room menu was a bit too meaty for us, but we found a Italian ristorante around the corner in a nice courtyard where the spaghetti was tasty and the white winw was delicious.

No air con,shower head in my room didn't fit correctly.had to hold it.

The shield of the 'heavy metal' bed side lamps have sharp edges.

The hotel is in a good position for visiting Chur, a few minutes walk from the main attractions of the old town and at the same time close to shops and the theater. We were upgraded to a small apartment which was very nice and would have been ideal if we had been spending a few days there and had wanted to cater for ourselves.

The bathroom was very nice but the shower was small with a curtain and some people might find it difficult to not flood the bathroom! The entrance to the car park was narrow and would be tight for large vehicles.

Coming off the Bernina Express this was a convenient and lovely old town to stay rather then continue to Zurich. The staff were very helpful,our room clean, quiet and comfortable, the dinner great while a drive in the 1933 Buick which is offered as a transfer from the station was a highlight.

We travelled with my 82-year-old mother who is not able to walk far - the proximity to the train station was very nice. My husband, sister and I appreciated the location as well as it was close for us to walk to the more interesting parts of Chur - sightseeing, cathedrals, and shopping. The restaurant was also very good, and the staff was more than welcoming!

Really neat, clean, first introduction to Switzerland. Our schedule limited to only one night there, we wish it could have been more.

Ich warte noch immer auf den Kaffee, der nicht mehr in Kännchen kommt, sondern direkt von der Maschine, hat "man" ja zu Hause auch, erst recht möchte ich das in den Ferien geniessen...man nehme sich ein Beispiel an der Laudinella in St. Moritz Bad...

- sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal - sympathische Aufmerksamkeiten (Mineralwasser kostenlos auf dem Zimmer und bei der Abreise)

- keine Beanstandungen
