It offers historic-style rooms and free internet access. You can park your car for free on the hotel's parking lot or in the garage at an additional cost and upon prior reservation. The Romantik Hotel Castello Seeschloss consists of 3 separate buildings grouped around a lush Mediterranean garden and outdoor swimming pool (heated from mid/end April to beginning/mid October). The restaurant serves a selection of local, international and Mediterranean dishes. In summer, weather permitting, all meals are served outside on the terrace overlooking the Piazza of Ascona and the Lago Maggiore. Hotel Castello and Ascona is an ideal starting point for boat trips on the Lago Maggiore, with sights such as the botanical garden Isole di Brissago or the Borromean Islands. Almost every day there is an Italian market in one of the towns bordering the lake. Only 30 minutes from Ascona guests can enjoy roller coaster rides down the slopes of Monte Tamaro or the Forest Adventure Parks in the woods of Monte Tamaro and Gordola. The staff were truly excellent and the food was really good, especially the breakfasts ! Maybe a little bit quaint overall and lacking in atmosphere but excellent location and quality of service makes up for that. Nothing especially, just a rather sterile feel

The helpfullness of staff Unfortunately on sat April 16th I slipped in the bath & broke several ribs.The local doctor who attended me has ordered me to be careful for atleast six weeks. I am back in london with a corset around my chest with continuous pain. It was unfortunate that there was no non skid Mat in the bathroom. The receptionist supplied me with one when I said I will go to the shops to buy one.It is sad that an insurance claim has to be made in due course. I would be grateful for your guidance.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir haben wirklich gar nichts auszusetzen. Alles war wunderbar, das Servicepersonal sehr freundlich, das Morgenessen liess keine Wünsche übrig und auch der Zimmerservice immer tip-top.

Obwohl das Restaurant schon zu hatte und damit sozusagen die Wintersaison mit Schließen des Hotels eingeleitet wurde,wurden wir sehr gut betreut,insbesondere beim Frühstück mit herzlicher Aufmerksamkeit und mit großer Auswahl incl lokaler Spezialitäten. Kommen gerne wieder !
