Nothing special, only advice is to call before arriving because when restaurant is closed no one might be there.
The address on booking.com is incorrect. The place is in shambles with no privacy. Contrary to the ad, there are no toiletries. The internet stopped working and the staff switched off his phone when i messaged him that it wasn't working. They didn't even inform that their restaurant was closed and we were literally the only ones staying in that place with all the doors locked. No market or restaurant nearby. The rooms are uncomfortable and smelly. There were no curtains on the window and we felt exposed. The fridge wasn't working. There was no staff to help us out, even at checkout time when we just had to leave the room keys in the lock. I would NEVER recommend this dodgy place to anyone. Rip off and a nightmare.
not intrusive stuff
too big pillow
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even replaced the fridge in the room because it wasn't working and we had to store some food. The room is nicely decorated, the wifi was excellent, parking place close by.
The sheets and pillow for the third (sofa) bed were in the closet. The pillow was not clean, and had no covers on.
The staff was super nice and friendly, they offered me a free water bottle for the night and were very helpful. The sheets were freshly washed, the room smelled nice
One of the beds was super hard. Thankfully my youngest son didn't mind sleeping in it. The rooms are above the restaurant and our window was above the outside terrace where people were talking and laughing loudly until 11pm. Couldn't sleep. And it wasn't even on the weekend. Contrary to the add, no toiletries, no hairdryer :( The tv remote stopped working after 5 min.
location quirky old fashioned facilities beautiful views
expensive food and no local shop so if you haven't got provisions prepare to be ripped off in the only restaurant in the village (which also lets out the property). No tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast poor quality bread and cake - again overpriced!
uncomplicated, sympatico. Menu looked good (restaurant closed sunday). Quite location, Typical Ticino. Quaint. accessible by public transport.
tom tom (SATNAV) cant find it. (Address on booking.com unclear)
Switzerland overall is expensive so this accommodation is probably reasonably priced.
Staff was Friendly, Internet was fast. Overall a good experience.
The rooms where great, we got up graded due to being only ones there at the time.
The whole hotel is actually shut on a monday, so we had to calot get the manager/owner to come let us in, then we had to go out for food as the reateraunt was closed also. No aircon so hot and stuffy rooms
I loved the old buildings and the "look" of the grotto neighborhood. The location provides a fabulous view of the valley and the north end of Lake Maggiore. The location also gave us quick and easy access to Locarno and Bellinzona. Lugano is also nearby.
Our room was over the restaurant terrace and was loud until late.
The staff was very friendly and helped us changed the room, and the lakeview is great.
It is a little noisy as there is a resturant downstairs
Away from the tourist route Had its own restaurant with great music and outdoor area. It was great since it was 36 deg when we were there. On a hill so was pleasant temperature, view from room and eating area
