The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location.

The rooms were tiny, tiny. You couldn't walk around the bed. The room was way to expensive for what you got. We booked a family room, and received a small single room with a tiny bed thrown next to the window. The room was outdated, the carpets were filthy (I wouldn't go barefoot). Because the night managers chain smoke, the entire place stinks like stale smoke -- even though you are aren't smoking in your room. We had to leave the windows open all day to air it out and so it was cold. We actually looked for another hotel the second day, but because of the late notice, we were not able to move to another location. I would never stay here again. Awful and totally not was represented on web site.

I read on the website that the rooms are small and the facilities poor. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place. However, for Swiss prices you can consider this as being fairly cheap and you do get a good value for the money. We stayed in a 'small triple room'. It was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The location in the city is excellent, extremely central, 1 min walk to the lake, 15 min walk to the Mont Bre furniculare and 1 min walk to the train station connection. It's excellent! You find all kind of shops at a small walking distance and practically everything you need. They offer a nice breakfast and the staff speaks good foreign languages and is very helpful. I would fully recommend this place and would gladly return there whenever I am in Lugano.

Rooms could be renovated, better furnished and it could use a bit of re- designing. Also tv didn't seem to work properly, but who needs a tv on vacation anyway?

Convenient location in main shopping street. Warm welcome at the reception.

Hotel is hidden between two rows of shopping arcades, so no outside views. No air con in room: could be uncomfortable in hot season. The fan was noisy.

Friendly staff and excellent location. Simple breakfast but good service

Price is fairly expensive like most of the Luganese hotels. Shower in the bedroom only separated by a curtain.

The staff were always friendly which made our stay very enjoyable. Furthermore, the hotel is located in a great location :)

The hotel is located on the main street which was sometimes loud in the evenings.

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast chice really nice. Excellent and central location. Very good directions from staff how to reach the hotel from the railway station.

The room was quite small and old fashioned and we couldn,t find enough floor space to lay 2 large suitcases. Didn,t like the washbasin in the bedroom and the toilet was very low to the floor. Despite all that it was all spotlessly clean and the water was lovely and hot. We would stay again if we come back to Lugano so these are just our observations after doing quite a lot of international travel.

The only thing that's good about this hotel is the location at the center of Lugano. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly.

The only thing I like is the location of the hotel in the middle of shopping and resturant.

The room is too small that were four persons. They called it family room. I cant put my laggage on the floor because there is no space for them at all. I dont recommeded for any persons or family because is too small and you can here any noise from other rooms.

Central location.

Room is incredibly small and does not have a table or a regular chair!! Rooms are rather noisy, too. Breakfast of rather poor quality, and with long waiting time to be served. In general bad value for money, (even with the special promotion Idiscount I enjoyed)

The location was excellent and although the room itself was quite small and a bit dated, it was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was all we needed for a short 3 night stay and any shortcomings were made up for by the extremely central location.

Although we were in a non smoking room and the rooms beside us were also non smoking, there was quite a strong smoke smell that would filter into our room from somewhere.
