Just perfect. Since we were on our honeymoon we were upgraded to a bigger and nicer room. We ate at the hotel's restaurant just across the road which was vertified Michelin Star. Staff are really nice and helpful. |

We had a lovely room with a view of the lakes and mountains. The staff was very helpful. The young lady at the desk noticed there was a birthday in our group and sent a fruit plate to the room with birthday wishes. Great food at the breakfast and their resuraunt. |

the hotel is very good - the problem was that the fact that the room that we reserved were not part of the 4 stars hotel, but a dormatory next to it, wasn't clear inough from the reservation form. Close to Lake Lucerne and railway into Lucerne. Breakfast was good. We were upgraded to a rather dark and dreary room. Although it technically had a lake view it was not good value for the price charged. |

Reception, Staff & Food were very good. The room certainly was different. Ceiling at 1.90 meters (I'm 1.98) and a wagon wheel as main room light, but hanging at my waist height. Spiders had been working hard and I guess the room cleaners wanted to preserve nature…..And finally the floor of the room above, which unfortunately was my (low) ceiling, made a lot of noise when the occupant moved. But hé it is a 350 year old building The noise my upstairs neighbor (s) made. |

Olde worlde Lack of lights in rooms, very difficult to read anything. One extra lamp would have made some difference |

We had a rental car and it was very good to have an opportunity to live outside but not far from Lucern. it was rather noisy but anyway the chalet is very nice and cozy. The restaurant and cookery are very good! |

The breakfast is the best I have since long time. You just hear everything from your neighbour room and walking people above you.I think the prices of drinks are to expensive for a simple hotel. The same for the food. |

The house is 400 years old and completely wood inside. I rented a sleeping room however, was not able to sleep because of the noise by another guest sleeping over me and of other guest arriving at 04.00hrs in the night. For me, this building is not equipped to use as a hotel. The 10% reduction on the price does not make up for the night not sleeping! |

the hotel property is located on the lake with a beautiful view of the mountains, and is recreated in the swiss chalet style, and a nice breakfast is included in the room cost |

The meal in the restaurant was very nice. Checked in and was sent to stay in a B&B in a residential area a short drive away (without a restaurant) - I'd paid a hotel price and expected to be able to have an evening meal (especially as it was my birthday treat). When we realised that we'd been sent somewhere with no restaurant we asked to go back to the original hotel we went to and they agreed (although we got a very frosty reception upon our return). A complete joke running around from one place to another, was very tempted to drive off and stay elsewhere. I expect a much better service for a room which cost nearly £200! Basically it seems that the owners want to make more £ so have bought an extra B&B and just send people there when they go to the hotel to check in - cheeky! |

The location is beautiful and although the hotel has two parts, one quite new and the other old but very interesting the location is wonderful. The hotel has it's own private beach, sitting area, and even a paddle boat for hotel guests. We had dinner in the hotel and it was delightful. We sat by the lake with a botlle of wine and enjoyed the sun going down on the lake surrounded by low mountains. We did bring our own bottle of wine though. This is not an American style hotel but the charm outweighs the lack of an elevator or other things. The hotel is just outside of Lucerne but is an easy drive and much more peaceful. The picture of the chalet outside with abundant window boxes is striking, don't miss it. Be careful to book a room with a bathroom. |

Good location just by the lake (but only main building - and this fact is not metioned on www pages of the hotel, that other buildings are across the main road - i mean it is not fair), ambiente in the all of premises - rooms, corridors, halls, restaurant. Nice indoor swimming-pool with direct gate to the garden. Helpfull staff, always with smile. Good restaurant for reasonable prices. The mornings were relatively cool, but the staff for any reasons declined to open the dining rooms inside (only one small one with only 5 tables!!!) so the people had to sit on the terrace taking their breakfast - and it was not pleasant for all. |

The location near the lake. The beach facilities. The restaurant and the food were acceptable. Our room was terible considering noise and temperature. We could not open the windows becouse any one coukd look inside. Becouse of the old building construction we can hear any step or voice of our neigbors up floor or near by. |

The overall atmosphere was one of an invited guest at a very comfortable, clean and quiet private estate. The lack of air conditioning in our room. The temperatures were unseasonably high during our stay, but for a 4 star hotel, the convenience of air conditioning should have been provided. |

We were offered an upgrade to stay in the main hotel and the room was very good. The young members of staff were very helpful I had booked the hotel having stayed there 2 years previously on the strength of the marvellous breakfast. However this time the breakfast was ordinary and coupled with the very poor attitude of the elderly restaurant manager the previous evening I would not stay there again |
