Location are near for famous local food.
Everything is excellent. The room is very spacious and this hotel provides the best service. Never regret for choosing this accommodation for my 3 days trip in Lucerne!
The toilet needs more lightning.
Room was clean and well kept. Location was very quiet. Very close to all the sites and shopping.
The location, service and accomodation as a whole. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Committed staff, elevator and parking facilities a few steps away. Highly recommended hotel.
Just a minor incident with the chambermaid who entered the room - willing to help after a request - while one of us was using the toilet with the door open!!
Well located, walking distance to train but a bit tricky to find on map obtained at tourist info.
Second sleeping area with 2 single beds was very hot with no air flow
Across from railway station. Close to all attractions & food.
Friendly staff, clean, price seemed fair for expensive Switzerland. Placed a chocolate on both of our pillows.
Nothing, met expectations.
Location is very near to the train station. Very good.
It's a very good hotel. Good price and service. It has lift, the breakfast is good and the staff is very attentive. Another good point it's the location, only few squares from the main attractions.
Our room didn't have fridge and the bathroom was small.
Everything was bad except its location. 1. staff not friendly, I called and waited for 5 min, and no one came, they were busy serving guests in the restaurant. 2. no kettle, I had to ask for one. not suprised, after 30 mins, someone delivered the kettle to our room. 3. the reception is on 1st floor, and we have to carry out bags and stuffs to it. After check in, we found out there is lift by the corner, and the staff didn't care to tell us that we may use the lift. 4. small room, and dirty bath room, the drain was blocked by hair or something. 5. if u only care about location, this hotel might do. if ur looking for comfort, don't!!
Location, Franziskaner Square, church bells, views out the window
Bathrooms a little outdated, otherwise perfect!
close to the central station and KKL, very convenient to go to the concerts and sightseeing
Lovely part of Luzern. Lots to see and within walking distance of all the old town with lots of character and atmosphere.
Lift stops were between floors so you had to either carry your luggage up or down 10 stairs. Breakfast was 17 Swiss francs and very inadequate. We booked it on arrival the previous day and they were tidying up when we arrived at 8:45am and only brought back very basic items. No air-con to room and the only way to have fresh air was to open the doors of the balcony that overlooked a square where the church chimed every 15mins all through the night. Also the noise from tradespeople arriving and servicing the hotel and adjacent shops from 6am was not appreciated.
location - close to main sights friendly staff
noise from bar next door (although we joined the bar for one night!!)
Friendly staff Reasonable price Clean Free wifi.
Very small rooms. A little far from station.
The balcony of the rooms on the fourth floor is great, you have a nice view over the little square in front of the hotel. The staff was very helpful, they let us stay in the triple room with three adults and two kids, providing a babybed and an extra mattress.
The rooms are off a few steps going down (or up) from the lift, which is not completely ideal when you are traveling with a stroller.
too expensive for the quality.
Staff was very friendly. Great location close to the kapel bridge and main attractions. Room was very clean & spacious. I would recommend this hotel to others.
Wifi was kind of weak. Church bells are a tad noisy outside the windows.
Location was very good. Short distance to the old city and train station.
The tv was very old and the remote control was broken. Cold shower in the morning without any previous warning.
Location, staff at the desk, friendly, helpful, view on the street side toward the church, large open windows to let the evening air come in, close to the markets
Pillows too flat
The rooms were nice and fresh.
We had no hot water in the morning for showers. Guess they were repairing some heaters.
Good location although a bit difficult to find. Clean, large room. Nice staff.
We had a 'garden view' which faced on to a fairly quiet street (and multi story car park) which was fine for noise levels during the day and early evening. When we returned after a night out in Lucerne we heard noise as soon as we walked in the front door of the Hotel and by the time we got to our room at the back this had escalated to a horrendous level. The noise was coming from a, to us, newly discovered live music pub on the street below our room. After reaching a ' Smoke on the water' crescendo at 2am the music mercifully stopped. Unfortunately this old Hotel is very badly insulated and we were woken at 7am by footfalls from people in the room above and noise from going up and down the stairs (not as bad as the pub but still way too loud). As Lucerne is so lovely and peaceful it was certainly marred by this disruption to the tranquility. I think the rooms at the front (overlooking the square) may have been quieter. I bought earplugs for the second night. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL at the weekend. MIGHT be better through the week (although I don't know about that).
The location, the receptionist
The plainness of the room; only one mirror.
Location Friendly staff
Lack of fridge
Staff was very friendly and welcoming
The room was of a very poor standard: the bed consisted of a mattress on a frame without a headboard; no bed-tables, no table-lamps. There were just two chairs and a desk with an old TV-set (cathode ray tube) - everything, including the carpet, dated back to the 70s and reminded of an austere college dormitory. Considering that the price was on the same level as a 'three-star' hotel, it was preposterous; after the first night we moved to a different hotel.
