Over 100 years old, the family-run Schweizerhof is 300 metres away from Andermatt Train Station. It features a rustic-style restaurant serving barbecue specialities, Italian cuisine and Swiss fondue dishes. Free Wi-Fi is available. The rooms come with cable TV and a private bathroom. There are 6 ski areas in the surroundings, including Gemsstock, Nätschen, Realp, Dieni, Sedrun and Disentis. The ski bus stop is only 50 metres away from the hotel. In the summertime guests can go hiking, climbing, paragliding, golfing or go fishing. It is also possible to go hiking in the winter and take the sledge back down to Hotel Schweizerhof. Andermatt is a 90-minute drive away from Zurich or Lugano. It can be reached within 10 minutes' drive from the Göschenen exit of the A2 motorway. The staff was super, the restaurant nice, very relaxed and food reasonably good. The hotel was very very old. That it itself can be a nice experience, but it was not well maintained. (Drapery rod crooked, toilet roll kept falling off the rod) and worst, the bathtub surround had lots of mold.

Lovely welcoming and helpfull staff, with information ready for the area and a 10% discount for the ski equipment hire. Abundant good quality breakfast (specifically, nice coffee), served in old silvery pots, and in a beautiful wood/paneled salon, reminiscence of the past glory of the hotel. Lovely details all around rooms and corridors with all pieces of furniture, lamps etc.. Good location in the middle of the main street for shops, coop, restaurants. Fantastic pressure in the shower! .Lack a bar area where to relax. .The lobby smells a bit 'old' .Room for 4 without a bath .a bit far from the cable up to the slopes -we didn't try the restaurant-

Authentically old, familly-run ski-lodge. Excellent staff. Comfortable beds. Lovely views from the room. Poor lighting in the room. Poor coffee at breakfast.

location Far tooo noisey. The building is old so there is not much building insulation .. so the owners should know that playing music in the resturant and kitchen by now just reverberates through all of the hotel rooms on the first floor. I sent an agrevating ski holiday with ear plugs in my ears every night

Personnel sympathique et arrangeant. Bâtiment ancien, intérieur rustique et confortable. Chambre refaite, salle de bain très propre. Nappes en tissus blanc sur les tables. Stationnement compliqué. Prix de la carte trop élevés. Pas de navettes de skieurs.

Niet zoveel.... Er was ons aangegeven dat er (een beperkt aantal) parkeerplaatsen bij het hotel waren. Bij aankomst bleek echter dat we op een openbare parkeerplaats moesten parkeren, waarvoor (om de 3 uur!) betaald moest worden. Er was geen lift in het hotel. Het meest vervelende was echter dat de kamer naast die van ons alleen door een gecapitonneerde deur van de onze was gescheiden. Dit betekende dat we letterlijk konden verstaan wat er daar werd gezegd. We hebben dus de avonden op fluistertoon doorgebracht.... De badkamer was erg primitief, zonder wastafel. Deze bevond zich op de kamer. Er waren ook hotelkamers zonder badkamer of toilet. Een echt budget hotel dus, maar bij boeking was dit voor ons niet duidelijk.

L'accueil en français. L'emplacement au coeur d'une région extraordinaire, dans un joli village. Le repas abondant et délicieux, servi avec gentillesse. (Plus un apéritif de courtoisie ! ) Le petit déjeuner si abondant et varié. L'absence de distance entre notre fenêtre de chambre et ...le salon des voisins d'en face !

La cortesia del personale e la conoscenza della lingua italiana La colazione e' un po' ridotta se si pensa alle colazioni continentali solitamente offerte da altri hotel. ma c'era comunque tutto l'essenziale.
