Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & THE SPA    

The service was impeccable. Every need was met and then some. Turn-down service, overnight shoe shine (complimentary), being treated very well was the norm.

No negatives.

We didn't have enough time there. Location isn't the best

All hotel staffs were really kind. And all facilities and room were also very good. Linen in bed was great for sleep.

Breakfast was the worst ever I've eaten in 5 stars hotels. Even eggs and bacons are available with charge!! Other basic optional breakfasts are needed.

Very nice room with big television and complementary drinks. The overhead shower in the bathroom was superb and very relaxing. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Having to pay for internet acess if used for more than 1 hour (1st hour free). I feel this should be included in the price.

Faultless with just one exception - housekeeping need to address the company that supply their bathroom slippers. I am tall and shoe size 7 neither pair fitted me i think a man would have a problem. A small detail meant as constructive criticism in an otherwise faultless experience.

Everything!! Location - short walk from the main train station, right in the middle of the shopping district and close to the government buildings. Helpful, efficient, friendly, smiling staff, from the reception team to the chambermaids and even the electrician in the hallway. Fantastic level of maintenance, everything works well, in-room facilities include all one could wish for and all state-of-the art high-tech. Great bath&shower room! Good gym and spa. I was in a De-lux single that was bigger then many doubles I stayed in all over the world. Bottom line - if you can afford it try it. You will not be disappointed.

Excelent service, above average even for Swiss standards. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, rooms are very confortable and clean. Great location, just across the street from the main train station and near main local public transportation system. The sorrounding area is pretty safe even late at night.

The breakfast is not bad but a little bit below what I would expect.

Nicht gut war die Klimatisation: ausser im Gang hatte ich im ganzen Hotel (v.a. Zimmer, Restaurant) den Eindruck eines kühlen Luftzugs, wodurch ein Aufenthalt schnell unangenehm wurde. Die Lichtschaltung ist schwierig zu bedienen, insbesondere wenn man sie nur benötigt, wenn man um Mitternacht ins Hotelzimmer kommt.

Facilities and staff attention simply excellent.

First-class hotel; very comfortable, well-decorated, perfect location, and very helpful staff and service.

Some lack of clarity about what was and was not included in the room rate - though this was handled well by the staff at checkout.
