Good spot, very nice view and relaxing
Expensive and not many options of breakfast
What and amazing location! We lucked out as well and had amazing weather. So sitting outside enjoying the view with some wine and food from the restaurant was amazing. The perfect place to just relax. Natalie was incredible. She made the experience so great for us. I had made the mistake of booking the family annex not realizing the layout of the shared bathroom (traveling with my parents and son) and she worked it out so we could have the apartment for our stay. It was so nice for her to work with us! The common area is really nice to be able to sit and relax. The restaurant in the hotel is very good. The breakfast was nice. The homemade cake was yummy! They gave us jam when we checked out which was a nice touch. Everyone talks about the road in their reviews, but if you drive slow it's no big deal. Highly recommend to stay!!
The hotel located on lakeside which is surrounded by landscape.every staff is very nice and kindly, thanks a lot.
there is a special road,I have a feeling of adventure and excitement by driving.
Charming family run hotel - Location was great, staff were nice and helpful, the food delicious, the room was comfortable. Yes the ceiling was low but unless you are really tall it won't bother you. Great location off the beaten track (which is what we look for) and although others have noted in the reviews that the road in is dangerous and narrow - we thought it was exciting and fun! If you take your time it is not dangerous, it is an adventure! There is also a beautiful walking/hiking path around the hotel and in the neighboring villages - perfect for before or after dinner. We were only here for one night stopover on our way to Italy - would have liked to stay another night if we had the time.
I had a great sleep but I did find the duvet cover texture a bit rough compared to regular sheets. In the restaurant we wanted to share a dish and they ended bringing us two smaller portions which turned out to cost quite a bit more than sharing our one dish. Just be aware they have large and small portions when you order. We really didn't mind too much though cause the food was great! Switzerland is not budget friendly.
If you arrive by car there is a very small road that must be traveled. The road was closed for repairs but the hotel provided a place to park in town and a boat service to the hotel at no charge that docked right at their property. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and the restaurant was good. Breakfast was of high quality. Room was spacious and comfortable. I wish we had had more time to spend relaxing at this property.
The setting. Breakfast
The narrow, one lane road. No walking track.
Great view of the lake
Great location, right by the lake. Fantastic food - fish caught daily. Versartile breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Super king size bed , softest bed linen ever, memory foam mattress and super comfortable pillows- slept like a baby! Strategically positioned reading lights, plenty of sockets. Fantastic views from the window.
I wish we stayed longer!

The narrow privet road to the hotel
Quiet location directly at lake (docking to lake ships within short walk). Good location to explore Lucerne, Pilatus, Vierwaldstaettersee (yet quietly tucked away). Great food at appropriate pricing. Very friendly and helpful staff.
No lift (my elderly Mom had to walk the stairs which at her age is always a bit risky).
This is the worst place I have ever stayed in. Don't be fooled by the rating of this hotel. There's no Internet in the rooms. The rooms are very old and lousy decoration and Not clean. Breakfast is bad and the road to reach the hotel is seriously dangerous. Don't ask the hotel for anything because the answer will always be no. Very noisy place and if someone from the above floor flush there WC you will hear it. The ceiling is very low so if you are 7 feet tall then good luck. No mini bar or even complimentary bottle of water. There was no curtains on the windows of our room. TV has 3 channels. Reception rarely attended.
Secluded location Convenient restaurant Good breakfast
Room was not as shown online View was blocked by large trees Extremely narrow road to get to hotel Noisy venue events for visiting business conference members Terrible wifi Flying ant and no screens on windows
the rooms are too small
The very welcoming, and accommodating hosts. We were treated like royalty. Thank you! Relaxing on the private beach and swimming in the lake. Dinner at the hotel restaurant al fresco. Sumptuous breakfast buffet. Trips with the boat to and from Lucerne. The view from the room. The quiet, the green.
Nothing. We'll be back.
The hotel was nice, but not excpeptional. The restaurant was nice but again not exceptional. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Very nice terrasses with a beautiful lake view. Very calm and peaceful. It was great for the children who could play safely outside.
Although the situation of the hotel was lovely beside the lake once you arrived , beware the access is VERY difficult!! A small lakeside road with only room for one car. If you have a large car/high car you can forget it as the montain juts out over the road in parts too...This road is also closed to traffic on Sunday afternoons until 17h, and it's about a 4km walk to the hotel. We didn't know this when we arrived and got told off by people walking along the road!
The view was awesome - along the shore of the lake, very relaxing, one could take advantage of the many hiking options or cycling just around the hotel. Hotel staff was very nice especially miss Hofmann who helped a lot with traveling options around Luzern. The location is great for the various travel sites around Luzern, also not very far from the city center. The hotel lake shore is beautiful, and in warm days one can swim in the lake or just sit next to it and enjoy the sun. The restaurant food is very good. Dispite all the reviews that mentioned the narrow road to the hotel - I didn't find it very dufficult to get there. The road is so beautiful and yes from time to time you need to maneuver when you meet the car on the opposite way. However it is not that annoying.
The room was a little bit small and we didn't have a balcony while other guests had one. Breakfast was sometimes not sufficient.
Staff at reception and hotel owners were outrageously rude, utterly impolite and shockingly brutal. A party with over 50 people was going on on the outdoor terrace when we arrived. This place looks on the internet as a heaven of calm: it was more like a loud discotheque experience to the hotel guests. When asking politely when the music would stop at night, the hotel owners said we had to leave if we didn't liked our stay! Incredible, we were threatened to be kicked out at 11PM just because we inquired when the noice would stop so we could sleep. Avoid this place, it is a nightmare experience. Never again.
spacious and clean room, nice scenery, nice location, free parking
its located in a fairly quiet town by the lake, with gergeous lake view as well as mountain view you can see through the window from the room. Basically, sights are all the same in switzerland, i highly recommend this family-running hotel, if you are traveling with your car, for its confidential, relaxing, and other countless merits. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Foods are fresh and delicious. 15 mins driving from hotel to luzerne. Very impressive trip this time!
umm, i dont see why there are so many flies in switzerland, probably for the country is too organic? :P
The hotel it is very original. The area that it is locate is beautiful. The restaurant was scrumptious.
The bed was comfortable and water pressure good in the shower.
The location is horrendous to get to and not very clearly understood when booking, the narrow road is ridiculously narrow with exposed rock lining one side and the lake on the other. The view outside is pretty of course but you can get a much much better value somewhere else and we thought we were getting a lake view room but instead got a view of power lines, a farm house and the driveway below. Breakfast was not good at all, very little selection. Restaurant says it is open until 21:30 but it was closed when we got there at 8:30pm and is not near anything in order to get food elsewhere unless you want to navigate the narrow road again. The room did not have basic things you expect when paying $268, no hair dryer, no phone, no mini fridge, no extra blankets or pillows. My plug adapter would not fit in their plugs as well which was annoying. Basically it is not at all worth the money they charge and we have stayed in nicer Swiss lake view hotels for less money.
Lake side and mountain wiev
Last 3 km to the hotel is very narrow
Excellent Location Very good staff and specially owners Food in see hotel restaurant is amazing View from Hotel balcony Value for money
Should have provided small things like wash room sleepers. Mosquitos repellent or some measures to avoid, as on the lake side with so much greenery, if you leave your window open even for a while these flies comes in
Our room was spacious, clean, newly refurbished, and had an amazing view of Mt. Pilatus and Lake Luzern. The staff was very helpful, accommodating and kind. The hotel is right on the lake and has a little beach with a gorgeous view. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was delicious! We had a great experience here and found it to be very relaxing and quiet. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
The access road to the hotel is very narrow if you are driving!
