There is an important and valuable machine in order to improve the hotel which is an (air conditionar ac ) because its really hot when we close the window at night.

This is a genuinely excellent hotel, and our week there (30th wedding anniversary treat!) was a real pleasure. Superb location, discreet, friendly and thoroughly professional staff... It more than met our expectations. We've been to Switzerland many times before, and indeed to Lucerne, but this was definitely one of the best experiences of the lot.

Only two minor disappointments - the menu, though high in quality, is a little restricted. If there had been more choice, we'd probably have dined in every night! As it was, we chose to dine in on four of our seven nights - and the calves' liver and rosti is to die for! And the TV options offer entertainment and news in several languages - but only one English language channel: CNN. For a hotel with genuine international appeal, perhaps that could be addressed? But these are very minor points compared to the overall excellence - we'd recommend this hotel to anyone!

The location, view from the room, staff and the room itself

From the friendliness of the staff, until the modern, stylish rooms: That’s an excellent choice to discover Luzern and at the same time sitting at the balcony with a great panorama view on lake and mountains. It’s around 4 km into the City, but the bus connection is pretty good, so no problem at all. That’s been my third stay in this hotel, and it’s always feeling good coming back. It’s simply a feel good place. Don’t book to much, please! I want to keep my chance getting there again.

This is a luxury modern "boutique" hotel with lots of nice touches. Our room (an upgrade) was very chic and filled with light. It had a large balcony overlooking the lake so that we could sit outside. The fittings were top quality and our room was immaculate. We were touring through Europe and also stayed in Geneva, Lucca and Rome. This hotel had the lightest of touches and the food was the best that we had in two weeks. The staff spoke various languages and were very friendly. If we return to Luscerne, we'll be staying here.

No curtain on the bathroom window initially gave a slightly exposed feel for a self-concious brit, but no-one could actually see in from the other side of the lake.

The view from the balcony is great, u must not miss the sun set. There is a bus stop just at the hotel door step, and it takes about ten minutes ride to and from city center and bus comes every 15 mins. And there is a boat comes every half an hour at the hotel dock. The room was spacious and well designed. Windows have sliding shader, if u want less light during the day.

No aircon or any kind of ventilation but the window, while the breeze draws cigarets smoke to the room when ever other guests smokes in there balcony. So it's your call clean air or cool room. No iron provided, they can press your clothe but it's way expensive,for a shirt they charge u 16 francs. The gym is a joke and u have to go through a long way to reach it.

Although next to a busy road the lakeside location is spectacular - we had a stunning room with awesome views across the lake and down to Lucerne.

The view was incredible. The rooms were clean and good size, and the staff was helpful and friendly.
