Boutique Hotel Seerose  

Me and my wife was greeted by a very friendly manager. We were given a double bed room at the main hotel rather than an annexed room across the road which we booked. The given room was in excellent condition. Although the hotel is situated next to the road, the room was not noisy. The hotel is also situated next to the beautiful Lake Thun. The continental breakfast was presented in a high class manner at the hotel's restaurant. Highly recommended.

Room does not provide hot drinking water facilities or hot drinking water flask. Need to obtain hot drinking water with own flasks at reception counter. Reason given was that the hotel insurance does not cover this type of facility. However, staff were very accommodating in providing the hot drinking water... with friendly smiles.

We had a very nice stay and hope one day to come back. The views from the hotel were wonderful and the friendliness of the owner and staff was exceptional. Thanks for a relaxing couple of days.

The food was too expensive for our budget but that seems to be the case everywhere in Switzerland.

Location and great views, friendly staff, clean rooms, good continental breakfast with excellent dining on the water.

I stay one night with my family and relative fron South Africa. The owner is great and very nice to everyone. The location is pretty fantastic ... directly on the lake. There was very sorry not to try the restaurant but the time available was little and wanted to visit Interlaken. Great hotel ...

Practically the location of its Restaurant is really good - weather permitting, one can enjoy a really nice breakfast on the terrace, just beside the lake. The view is spectacular and it's a really relaxing way to start off your day. I presume the rooms found on this side of the hotel, also have this view, however our room was situated in another building just across the road from the main building of the hotel, therefore we could not enjoy this view from the room itself.

There was no one at the reception desk upon our arrival (early in the afternoon), and we had to wait a good quarter of an hour before someone did come behind the desk. Thing is, the girl's job clearly was not that of a receptionist...she didn't give us any information whatsoever and she could not speak to us in French or English...Another thing was that on our second day, the maid did not provide us with shower-gel/soap....we had to leave a written note so as to make sure that we would get shower-gel the next day!

Great location on the Thunersee. Retaurant and wait staff were very nice and personable. Excellent food and wine, although pricey.

Room was a bit cramped, particularly there ws no convenient place to lay out our bags.

Sehr aufgeschlossenes, freundliches Personal, der Chef kümmert sich persönlich um seine Gäste, alle sind hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Gutes Restaurant. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal für Ausflüge in das Berner Oberland, besonders in die Städte Thun, Bern und Interlaken, aber auch zu den Bergen Niesen, Jungfraujoch (Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau), Stockhorn oder Schilthorn, guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, wenn man mit dem Auto von dort starten kann. Schöne Lage am Thuner See, Blick vom Restaurant auf den See, Möglichkeit zum Baden nicht weit weg.

Schweizer Preise sind allgemein etwas höher als für deutsche Verhältnisse gewohnt.

Sympathisches Hotel direkt am See. Von unserem Zimmer konnten wir direkt auf den Thunersee sehen, herrlich. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und das Personal freundlich. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Traumhafte Lage, sehr guter Gastgeber, wirklich gutes aber nicht ganz billiges Essen

Wir verbrachten fünf erholsame, wunderbare Tage am Thunersee, zudem spielte das Wetter einfach einmalig mit! Wir fühlten uns jederzeit bestens im Hotel Seerose aufgehoben und freuen uns auf ein nächstes Mal! PS Auch wenn wir ohne eigenes Auto unterwegs waren, kein Problem, im Gegenteil, mit den ö.V. ist es immer sehr spannend! Herzliche Grüsse vom Zürichsee!
