The Tourist hotel is at the edge of Lucerne's Old Town, a few minutes from the station and the lake. All rooms provide free Wi-Fi and most have a balcony with mountains and river views.
Score from 979 reviews Very good
Built in 1543, this hotel in the center of Zug accommodated famous guests like Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, yet it offers modern amenities like free internet and air-conditioning.
Score from 82 reviews Very good
Overlooking Lake Zug and the surrounding mountains, just 1 km from Cham, the family-run Swisshotel offers free WiFi and free private parking. The centre of Zug is 2.7 km away.
Score from 145 reviews Good
Entirely renovated in the summer of 2010, the Hotel Freihof is in the center of Unterägeri, just over half a mile from the Ägeri Lake.
Score from 197 reviews Very good

Breakfast. No natural yoghurt, scrambled eggs looked very unappealing. Food at dinner was average No hard soap only liquid soap which no good for washing face
Free bicycles Excellent location
Beds not very comfortable.
No bar facilities on Sunday nights
Morning breakfast was good except scrambled eggs were very dry
The staff is really kind. Nice location, close to the lake and with some places to eat in the neighbourhood. Wellness area included for the guest - amazing.
The room was not very clean, lot of dust and even a spider's web.
Very quited, near the lake, open space, modern and nice interior, well set up breakfast and nice restuarant.
A bit too far from the expressway.
The bar and free breakfast.
Excellent restaurant and equal personnel
- When a (bigger + local) event takes place at the hotel, it is difficult to find any parking spot near the hotel. - Do not take room 100 or 200; these are directly opposite the reception desk and one can hear all noise from the desk inside the room.
Very good value for money, first time I find a hotel of that level for 100 eur / night in Switzerland. Very good breakfast included, free parking, free Wi-Fi. The hotel is in a very pleasnt location. If you're on your own wheels, I strongly recommend this hotel.
The spacious rooms and the location. Even dogs are welcome and one can walk around the lake.
The restaurant is even for Swiss standards very expensive.
Location of this hotel is very good, and it's just beside a lake. The room is clean.
We did have some unpleasure experience there. There's a table in the room, and the table has a sharp angle. My boy was almost 2 years old, and he is just as high as the table. The sharp angle hit his face. I would say that it's a very danger design for kids.
Thin walls to rooms - can hear too much!
This hotel is one of the best hotels we stayed. The location in the middle of the area for trips, the Staff very very friendly and communicative, the food excellent, big choice and tasty, parking plot in front of hotel.
kindness and courtesy with my family of the receptionist Ms. Albeluna!!!
The perfect reception service in the evening, cared by a charming and lovely lady from Ticino! Superb view on the lake.
Nothing! Everything was perfect
1. Able to park care in enclosed parking facility. 2. Best was that because we were visiting family, we were not at the hotel most of the time.
1. Room 336 was too cold especially at night - took Seminar Hotel three (3) days to resolve night-time heat problem (by finally providing a portable heater). 2. Breakfast came with room, BUT the buffet operating hours were 7AM to 10AM during weekdays and buffet was closed down immediately - tough for a 77/80 year old couple. 3. Breakfast Buffet help was almost non-existant. It was left up to the people staying at the hotel to find out for example where the coffee/drinks were (changed location almost everyday). Friendlyness seems to be forgotten by some employees. 4. Restaurant was generally cool (sometimes even cold) - we like to eat without thinking about how cold it is. 5. Small elevator from room 336 floor to floor with access to front desk/restaurant was actually dangerous - once as I got off the elevator followed by by wife, the doors closed with my wife between the doors (I had to FORCE the door open). I told front desk and was told that was too bad (was not told someone would check out elevator). 6. Checkout was an absolute nightmare. The Front Desk seemed unable to print out a "draft bill". In total it took 40 minutes to checkout because there were two small items that we did not recognize and the front desk was unable to tell us what the charge was for. We insisted charge be removed and the first bill we got to see indicated that the room was paid for (with the unwanted items paid for). We got a second bill with the charges removed and it also indicated the bill was paid. When we left, we had no idea whether we had been double charged. 7. Front Desk was AT BEST bad news - most employees had little understanding on how things worked in the Hotel. Often gave us answers that were wrong (did not realize actual hours of Breakfast Buffet during Christmas and Boxer days). 8. Room 336 cleaniness was not special - beds OK, Bathroom OK, rug in room ranged from "fairly-clean" to "filthy". 9.
Excellent service, top facilities, relaxing surroundings!
Short drive from Zug, but totally worth it to stay here for your Zug meetings if you have a car
Very comfortable hotel. Just what I neded
Would have appreciated a kettle in the room.
Everything is perfect. The room is in front of lake with very nice view. The breakfast is good enough.
