Location, staff, breakfast

It was wonderful. Beautiful log style hotel with wooden beams everywhere and full of character. View from our room was amazing giving us 200degree views of the mountains, waterfalls and town. Large balcony. Lovely room. Location was excellent, opposite train station and next to gondola, at one end of the town. Breakfast was excellent. Goats with bells on in garden (so lovely). Good Car park at back of hotel. Loved this hotel, will definitely stay again.

Double bed is 2 singles pushed together that slide apart if u roll into gap. We were there between the winter and summer season(may) so lots of the town was closed including our hotel restaurant and bar, and the gondola, but we didn't mind as it just meant it was even quieter and peaceful. No mini bar/ fridge. No shampoo (only small sachets of body/hair wash, and not enough for 2 people) but luckily we had our own shampoo.

The staff is friendly. The location is good, just 5 mins walk from train station. The room views are fantastic, can see waterfall and snow capped mountains.

No lifts to higher floors, have to carry luggage up the stairs.

Great location for accessing the rail and ropeways for the Jungfraujoch region.

The rooms are a bit small and the absence of an electric kettle / coffeemaker in the room annoying.

Location is very convenient in the center of town.

Room was a little tired and the glass door to the bathroom was inadequate. Hotel restaurant was closed for the month and, in fact, only one in town was open. (And it was really bad.)

Our room was spacious and comfortable, giving fabulous views overlooking the mountains. The hotel is close to a useful Spar shop. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was well worth the money, it was the usual continental style but plenty of it - and an excellent coffee machine. Have been to the hotel twice now and would go back!

Not a dislike but I do wish hotels would make a facility for hot drinks in the evenings, perhaps a coffee maker or kettle in the room and charge a little extra for this facility. In this area there was no possibilty of getting a hot drink after about 6.30pm

Rooms a little dated. Exchange rate made it rather expensive!

The lady at the front desk was very helpful and freindly.

My room was all the way at the top (6 flights up) with no elevator. Parking was challenging on the second day.

Loved the room in was very cozy and had a lovely view. The staff was wonderful especially at check in on 14 Feb 13 around 1400. Had a wonderful stay a great dinner, breakfast was lovely as well. Thanks !!!

Great View from Balcony Accessibility to Ski and Schilthorn / Jungfrau

So relaxing! Breakfast was great. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We extended our stay by 2 nights it was so good. And it is close to the train station.

My only complaint was that the room was really hot, even with the heater off. A nice change to the cold outside but I had to take the doona out of its cover and just sleep under the cover.

The staff were very friendly and the in house restaurant was lovely. Good breakfast also. We were also given a balcony with a fantastic view!

Lack of room amenities (bar fridge etc.), single beds pushed together with a very large gap between them due to the thick wooden bed frame. We were on the top floor of the hotel so lugging 2 large heavy and one small suitcase up 6 flights of stairs was not desirabe, however it was good for the legs! Overall the good did outweight the bad if you are not too fussy.
