Sorell Hotel Ador  

Vain lyhyt kävelymatka rautatieasemalta. Tulin paikalle vuorokautta myöhemmin kuin olin varaukseen merkinnyt (lennon peruuntumisen vuoksi), mutta peruuntuneesta yöstä ei tarvinut maksaa mitään, vaikka varausehtojen mukaan tein varauksen perumisen liian myöhään. Pisteet siitä!

Huone oli aika pieni ja hotelli ylipäänsä tasoonsa nähden kallis... mutta Sveitsissä ei taida edes kohtalaista saada halvalla.

This hotel was conveniently located about 10 minutes from the main train station. The area felt safe and quiet, and the staff were very helpful. The room was clean and there was a small minibar and safe. The design of the hotel was very modern, almost industrial, and the bathroom was large with plenty of towels. The buffet breakfast was very nice, with lots of choices of bread and cold cuts, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs and self- service coffee makers with good, strong coffee.

Although the room was otherwise very clean, the walls were covered in dark scuff marks. Also, the shower had a thin, fabric shower curtain that would stick to you as you showered. I think a bit of attention to cleaning/repainting the walls and either renovating the bathroom or at least replacing the shower curtain with a one that hangs better would make the room much more attractive and pleasant to use.

No wifi in the bedrooms. The room showed signs of the previous occupant (hairs in the washbasin and on the toilet)

Hotel Ador is conveniently located in Bern's downtown, just a few minutes away from the train station. Rooms are quiet, comfortable and functional, recently redecorated and in very good shape. Breakfast was good.

We choose this hotel as it was close to the train station (very close to the back entrances) and was available at the last minute for an overnight stay. The staff were friendly, spoke English, there was a locked store room in which we could keep our things and there were guides and maps of Bern available in reception. The room was small but adequate for our purposes.

This hotel is good in terms of location - just a short stroll from the train station. We stayed here as a family in two double rooms and as other reviews noted the rooms are very small, even for Switzerland standards. Also the rooms are looking abit tired and in need to a revamp. The hotel staff were excellent and friendly and the facilities were good. Probably a good one if you are in transit and just need somewhere to lay your head.

Great city centre location. Friendly staff. Great beds. Clean room and good layout for working. Would use again.

All was good but missed aircon and shower curtains not my preference (but these are small things)
